$85,000 to $95,000 Portfolio Accountant (Hybrid) - Boston, MA
Our client has 100 employees total in the company now - they added 35 employees this year alone. 20 employees in accounting right now including 3 in the tax group. They're adding a couple of new products this year so they're continuing to grow.
The asset classes that they stay within are industrial, residential, commercial, and retail they have $20/Billion in assets under management.
They are hiring a Portfolio Accountant who will be responsible for the debt, prepare the initial financial package to be reviewed by the Assistant Controller, and pull together the portfolio management package.

Responsibilities
Complete quarterly and annual financial close, including:
Assist with the preparation of financial statements and underlying schedules
Prepare quarterly debt covenants
Monitoring/reviewing monthly financial reports prepared by third-party property managers for assigned real estate assets, including:
Oversee third-party property managers
Provide guidance on the firm's accounting practices and ensure compliance
Calculating monthly management fees and preparing forecasts
Preparing investment acquisition and disposition entries
Qualifications
BS in Accounting is required with 1-3 years of accounting experience
Strong Excel skills REQUIRED; Yardi familiarity a plus
Public Accounting & Real Estate Accounting experience PREFERRED
Excellent communication, organization, analytical, and attention to detail skills
