The Role and the Company

Heidelberg Materials is seeking a high-volume recruiter to play a pivotal role within the Northwest Region (Canada: British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba Provinces; USA: Oregon & Washington States), collaborating closely with hiring managers across your designated product lines to fulfill a diverse range of roles. Your primary responsibilities will include forecasting hourly hiring needs, devising effective recruiting strategies, and executing the end-to-end recruiting process.

This position reports to Regional HR Services Manager, dotted line reporting to HR Area Manager, PNW and is in Redmond, WA

What You'll Be Doing:

Facilitate the hiring of hourly employees across various departments, ensuring a match between candidate skills and job requirements.

Partnering with hiring managers to understand their talent needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.

Sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates using various tools and methods, such as Workday Recruiting and Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Managing the full cycle recruitment from job posting to offer acceptance, ensuring data accuracy and compliance in the recruitment system.

Building and maintaining a strong talent pipeline for current and future opportunities, using data-driven approaches to identify and engage with passive candidates.

Ensuring a positive and professional candidate experience throughout the process, providing timely feedback and communication.

Initiating processes for background checks, reference checks, drug screens and physicals, and ensuring new hire paperwork and onboarding process is completed.

What We Are Looking For:

High School Diploma or GED Certificate is required.

Post-secondary degree preferred.

3 to 5 years' work experience as a Recruiter, preferably in a high-volume recruiting environment.

Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Strong knowledge of best practices and trends in recruitment and talent acquisition, especially in the use of digital tools and platforms.

A passion for people and a customer-focused mindset.

Strong organization skills and time-management abilities.

An ability to communicate effectively and persuasively with diverse stakeholders, both internally and externally.

Action oriented and results focused.

A high level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.

Knowledge of applicant tracking systems and HRIS (Workday knowledge a plus).

Ability to travel in Canada and the US.

What We Have to Offer:

$88,150 - $121,210 / year

Conditions of Employment:

Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:

This role operates primarily in an office environment, however, may conduct business at manufacturing/construction locations where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, dust, inclement weather, heat, humidity, and elevated noise levels.

Ability to operate a variety of office equipment and computer systems; visual acuity required to read, verify, and enter various data from documents related to the work.

Periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Ability to travel both nationally and internationally.

15 to 20% travel within Canada and the US.

Have a valid Driver’s license.
