In this role, you will focus on issues that come up reactively day to day concerning hospital and professional billing, ensuring charges are processed accurately, reporting on trends, and working across various departments to resolve patient accounts and billing efficiencies. MUSTS:
3-5 years of experience working within a healthcare revenue cycle team (A/R follow up, insurance, coding, etc)
Has one of these certs: CPC, COC, CCS, CCSP, RHIA, RHIT
Revenue integrity experience
Charge Description Master experience (CDM)
Experience working CCI (correct coding initiative) edits
Experience pulling data and identifying trends of missed revenue opportunities and reporting on those trends
Experience entering charge capture into an EMR system
Experience running charge reconciliation reports or other revenue cycle reports
Have an understanding of HCPCS and CPT codes
Excel experience can do Pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
