Background:
As an Business Development Director/VP, you will develop strategy for pursuits and programs in the National Security (DOD/IC) market. The Candidate will Identify, Assess, Qualify, Develop, and Capture new business opportunities in accordance with Company strategic objectives.
Job Duties:
Generate and support the development of white papers, RFIs/Sources Sought and Proposals
Develop and maintain a robust National Security pipeline to achieve company financial metrics
Develop, maintain, monitor and assess a comprehensive suite of BD and technical innovation performance metrics
Partner with company business units to implement strategic priorities and execute BD campaigns and develop proposal and pursuit strategies
Support the development of company marketing/media strategies and campaigns
Collaborate closely with other executives and departments to ensure alignment with the company's overall goals and objectives.
Provide key stakeholders with awareness of plans and progress
Perform research on customers, competitors, solutions, specific opportunities, teaming partners and potential key personnel to capture and/or maintain Government contracts
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Must possess a TS/SCI clearance
BS/BA in a technical field plus 25 years or more related experience, MS preferred.
Experience working within the U.S Department of Defense & Intelligence RDT&E communities
A team player who can work with cross-functional teams (i.e., program manager, logisticians, engineers, etc.)
Ability to identify, establish, and build respected and trusted relationships with key government customers across the defense and intelligence community and industry
Working knowledge of the federal budget process
Excellent communication and presentation skills, leadership ability, initiative and creativity, and a high degree of judgment while working within an environment that places a premium on collaboration and teamwork
Ability to work and be an integral part of an action-oriented, decision-making environment
Experience in managing in a DOD/IC RDT&E and developing professionals, staff members, and consultants effectively, as well as appropriately advising/influencing senior-level executives
Able to travel for studies, meetings and conferences (approximately 25%)
Desired Qualifications: Experience with MS Project, Access and MS Office
Experience with MBSE/SysML
Familiarity with the Air Force research and development environment
Familiarity with Digital Engineering
Experience performing research on customers, competitors, solutions, specific opportunities, teaming partners and potential key personnel to capture and/or maintain Government contracts
Demonstrated ability to exhibit thought leadership in technical areas
Ability to translate detailed technical information into appropriate executive level briefings and information exchanges
Active participation in National Security and professional technical communities, making technical presentations, and taking part in panels
