Job Summary: Supermicro is currently looking for a Director, Business Development to join our growing team to help us achieve our next stage of rapid growth. This role is focused on building our Enterprise Sales Development team from scratch and helping to hire, onboard, train, and continuously develop sales development representatives. This person will be a dynamic leader with experience in coaching SDRs to uncover net new business across Enterprise accounts. They will also provide strategic direction and implement strategies across the teams that allow them to hit and exceed their pipeline and opportunity targets.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Job included but not limited to:

Develop strategic sales goals

Qualify leads and creating target lists of enterprise or data center accounts

Seek potential customers (e.g., Corporate Customers, Value-Added Resellers, OEMs) through cold calling and follow-up customer visits

Participate in marketing activities such as trade shows to generate leads

Strategically position Supermicros products and services

Develop customer relationships and maintain/manage accounts

Expand existing client accounts for retention and growth

Negotiate various types of contracts

Negotiate sales pricing, monitoring orders, facilitating credit issues and negotiating sales returns

Qualifications: BA or BS in Business Administration or related field

10+ years of experience with selling hardware solutions to, channel, data center or enterprise accounts (prior software sales will be considered)

Successful track record with credible cold calling and follow up with key decision makers

Strong team player

Prior experience selling technology into corporate accounts

Demonstrated ability in the following areas: pre-call planning, opportunity qualification and objection handling, call structure and control, time and territory management

Strong persuasive and negotiating skills

Extremely proactive, highly organized, with proven ability to manage multiple tasks

Professionalism combined with a passion for creativity

Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and diverse culture

Must have a strong background in selling X86 Architecture

Please note that this position requires regular in-office attendance. The successful candidate is expected to be present in the office during standard working hours as determined by the company. In-office collaboration and participation in team meetings, training sessions, and other on-site activities are essential aspects of this role. Candidates should consider the commuting distance and be prepared to fulfill their responsibilities in the designated office location.

Salary Range $160,000 - $230,000

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
