WeDriveU is posting this position on behalf of National Express Transit Corp.
National Express Shuttle and Transit (National Express) is a division of National Express LLC (NELLC), a subsidiary of Mobico Group PLC. Including our predecessor companies, NELLC has been serving the US since 1917 and is a leading passenger transportation operator in the school bus, shuttle and transit markets with over 20,000 vehicles operating in major cities in North America. We are present in 33 US states and three Canadian provinces. Our fixed route transit operations span the US including California, North Carolina, and Arizona. We run major paratransit operations in Boston, MA, Chicago, IL, and Washington, D.C. Through our WeDriveU brand, we are a large provider of fixed route shuttle services for blue-chip corporations and universities including Apple, Microsoft, Facebook, and Google.
Globally each year, Mobico Group safely delivers 975 million journeys worldwide through its bus, rail, coach, and shuttle divisions. We share people, learnings, challenges, partners, and best practices across our group, building an ever-evolving repository of information, expertise, and resources.
TheOperations Manager (OM)will report to the General Manager and assist with all supervisory duties outlined below. The OM will work onsite, as needed, at the client’s location and will actively communicate with the client as well as other vendors.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervise the daily activities of all drivers and oversee the development and implementation of standard operating procedures as directed by the Client and National Expresscompany policies.
Provides staff leadership by promoting and ensuring safe, efficient and effective operations
Ensure that all transit routes are constantly operating and adequately servicing the client’s needs.
Make logistical coverage/staffing decisions and communicate them effectively to the rest of the team (drivers and client management).
Hire (interviews, road tests, training, etc.), train and develop new drivers.
Analyze and interpret ridership numbers and suggest route changes accordingly.
Support the development of company policy and procedures.
Support the General Manager as needed.

Skills Required and Physical Demands:
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office with the ability to prove intermediate to advanced excel skills.
Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize and problem solve.
Prior knowledge of DMV policies and procedures is preferred but not required.
Licensed Class B driver (Passenger and Air brakes endorsement) is required.
Must be able to lift 25+ pounds, climb stairs and be on your feet for an extended period.

Education and Qualifications:
Hard Requirements:
5+ years' Managerial experience in Transit Transportation Operations Management
Possess a valid Commercial Driver’s License with appropriate endorsements
Preferred Requirements:
Work experience in public or private alternative transportation demand management (TDM) highly desirable.
