Town of East Longmeadow Director of Human Resources East Longmeadow , Massachusetts Apply Now Director of Human Resources Position: Non-Union, Full Time, Exempt,Benefit Eligible Annual Salary: \$85,000 to \$105,000 DEFINITIONPosition is responsible for performing a broad range of human resourcefunctions directing and supervising the personnel systems of the Town,including classification, compensation, recruitment, selection, laborrelations, and training. Work requires the exercise of discretion inhandling confidential human resources and labor contract negotiationmatters as well as performing daily activities based on a completeknowledge of public personnel administration. Work is performed underthe general guidance of the Town Manager and in accordance withprevailing policies, laws, regulations and rules applicable to specificareas of program activity. Work is reviewed through conferences andreports for overall program effectiveness and efficiency. An essentialpart of the duties of this position is assisting in developing aflexible and anticipatory organization which will provide cost-effectiveand customer-friendly delivery of quality services to the community;plus, assisting in developing and utilizing the potential of eachemployee to successfully find new ways to deliver both the short andlong-term needs of East Longmeadow consistent with the Town\'s goals andobjectives.
