Job Description: The Role
The Data Architecture and Engineering Chapter Area is looking for a BI-focused Senior IT Data Analyst whose work enable our leaders to make data-driven decisions and take action to optimize strategic outcomes of Fidelity’s Technology Strategy.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring You bring a blend of demonstrated experiences that spans domain knowledge of Technology Delivery Strategy combined with Data Visualization development skills.
You have demonstrated experience collaborating with and influencing senior level partners across Fidelity’s business units, with leadership disciplines spanning Technology, Finance, Workforce Management, and Strategy & Planning.
The outcome of the work is data visualization. However, the key inputs that drive the impact of the capability are a collaborative approach rooted in the leadership principle of owning the outcome, empathetic customer engagement, a passion and capacity for data visualization.
You have demonstrated experience building data visualizations using PowerBI. But you are not just a BI Developer -- you are an effective and empathetic storyteller with senior leaders and peers.
You’ve demonstrated your ability to promote the intersection of your team, the team’s products, and the technology stack being used to increase the impact of your contributions. You not only stay ahead of on the latest developments in PowerBI, but you and provide recommendations on new features and better practices.
You have experience in gathering business requirements and translating them to data solutions. You are skilled at effectively defining use cases and simplifying complex concepts.
You can define user stories and validate the impact of changes to datasets and data models. You can break up complex work into digestible work elements. You have a good, applied knowledge of agile methodologies and practices. Familiarity with Jira / Jira Align is a big plus.
You have a good working knowledge of SQL or Python, and are able to independently wrangle our datasets to obtain valuable insights.
You have a passion for continuous learning, mastering of new skills, and keeping abreast of the latest innovations across data analytics.
You have data analysis and data profiling skills, and can define robust test scenarios.
You have experience navigating integrated enterprise data and working across multi-functional teams. You can propose alternative approaches and make recommendations on the benefits and shortcomings of each approach.
You are known as a go-getter, with the ability to unravel a mystery – data, business process or organizational.
You apply data management and data modeling practices when building data solutions.
You are an effective communicator with a strong ability to cultivate relationships. You have excellent communication and presentation skills.
Your familiarity with enterprise data lakes and Cloud data platforms such as Snowflake is a plus.
The Team The CIO Performance Reporting and Visualization squad is aligned within the Fidelity Technology Strategy, Business & Portfolio Management domain of Enterprise Technology. Your team is enabled with support of you ScrumMaster and leadership of your squad leader. Your squad is responsible for delivering intuitive reporting & insights that enable the CIO and senior technology leaders to make Data-Driven / Data-Informed Decisions that drive strategic outcomes aligned to ET strategy. Our goal is to deliver innovative information delivery solutions that enable insights & real-time decision making.
Your chapter-based alignment will enable you to maintain a broader perspective of how your work fits into Fidelity’s overall data platform and strategy and is focused on your overall career growth and development.
Certifications: Category: Information Technology Fidelity’s working model blends the best of working offsite with maximizing time together in person to meet associate and business needs. Currently, most hybrid roles require associates to work onsite all business days of one assigned week per four-week period (beginning in September 2024, the requirement will be two full assigned weeks).
