Director of Organizational Development

Impact Teen Drivers (ITD) is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Organizational Development to lead and enhance the organization’s efforts to reduce reckless and distracted driving among teens. The Director will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing strategies that ensure the highest level of quality in ITD’s programs and initiatives. This role requires a visionary leader with strong organizational skills and a passion for making a positive impact on community safety and health education.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning and Leadership
- Develop and implement organizational strategies to enhance ITD's mission and goals.
- Lead the development of plans to ensure sustainable impact and high-quality outcomes on all projects/grants.
- Collaborate with the Executive Team to align organizational goals with operational plans using the ITD strategic plan as a framework.
Program Development and Management
- Oversee the design, implementation, and evaluation of educational programs grounded in the Theory of Planned Behavior.
- Ensure that programs adhere to Positive Community Norming and avoid any association with scare tactics.
- Integrate the Safe Systems Approach and evidence-based countermeasures from NHTSA into program development.
Team Support and Supervision
- Support the education outreach coordinators/managers by reviewing and communicating education outreach activity metrics, expectations, and planning.
- Utilize Positive Community Norming and evidence-based strategies in all education and outreach development efforts.
- Ensure team members are proactive and responsive to organization needs with partners and executives.
Quality Assurance and Improvement
- Implement and monitor quality assurance processes to ensure the highest standards in all organizational activities.
- Develop and oversee continuous improvement initiatives to enhance program effectiveness and organizational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and best practices in program delivery.
Partnerships and Community Engagement
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships with community organizations, schools, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
- Represent ITD at local, regional, and national events to promote its mission and programs.
- Facilitate community outreach efforts to increase awareness and participation in ITD programs.
Resource Development and Management
- Identify and pursue funding opportunities to support organizational quality and program sustainability.
- Develop and assist with management of budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to meet strategic goals.
- Oversee grant writing and reporting processes.
Evaluation and Reporting
- Implement robust evaluation systems to measure the effectiveness and impact of ITD programs.
- Prepare and present reports to the Executive Director, board members, and funding agencies.
- Utilize data-driven insights to inform continuous improvement and innovation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Education, Organizational Development, Communications, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in organizational development, program management, or a related role.
- Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, team leadership, and community engagement.
- Strong understanding of the Theory of Planned Behavior and Positive Community Norming principles.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strategic partnerships.
- Experience in technical and or grant writing; and resource development.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Passion for injury prevention, education, health education, and community safety.
