Branch Manager
Position Summary :
This position reports to the Chief Retail Banking Officer. This position is responsible for the activitiesof the assigned retail outlet(s) and to provide high quality customer service,achieve product sales targets and deliver customer service through a trainedand motivated staff. Travel to, andattend training events as needed.
Essential Functions :
•Managethe retail outlet as an income center to achieve income and expense targets.
•Participatein the development of retail goals and sales targets. Review targets with staffquarterly and progress against those goals.
•Ensureloan and deposit exceptions are cleared.
•Monitorand manage past due accounts.
•Participatein community activities in the vicinity of the branch location to enhancepublic awareness of the bank and to leave a positive impression of the bank.
•Oversee thedelivery of quality customer service at the branch through personal contactwith customers and prospects.
•Participatein the development of branch performance standards in areas such as operatingloss control, Personal Bankers' levels of experience, bank secrecy andcompliance with policies and procedures.
•Overseethe direction of the branch staff to ensure effective utilization of personnel timelyand objective performance evaluations, equitable salary structure andidentifiable career paths for qualified and interested candidates.
•Monitorthe knowledge and skill levels of branch personnel to identify development andtraining needs. Participates with the Retail Services Assistant in the development oftraining programs as needed.
•Meetregularly with staff to communicate objectives and goals, branch operatingstatus and employee input to improve branch performance so that high qualityinformation flows in both directions.
Interview loan applicants, checks credit, completes and processes necessary documentation in accordance with Bank procedures.
Make loan, overdraft, or check approval decisions that comply with prevailing Bank policies and which are within current lending authority.
•Audit branch vault in the absence of the Relationship Manageror Assistant Branch Manager.
•Complete all training requirements, including compliance, ina timely manner.
•Follow and comply with all bank regulations and securityprocedures.
•Resolve customer complaints.
•Available by Bank cell phone whenever needed.
•All other duties assigned.

Strong leadership skills to direct a staff of up to 25 subordinates.
Experience and Education :
Four year college degree or a combination ofeducation and equivalent banking industry experience required. A minimum of three years branch experience,with one year as a branch manager preferred.
