Our client, a Denver based specialty healthcare company is looking to find their next VP of Accounting to lead their high performing finance and accounting team. This person will bring strong leadership skills as well as a deep understanding of the healthcare industry from an accounting and finance perspective. The VP of Accounting will have a seat at the Sr. Leadership table and paly a vital role in shaping the strategic direction of the organization moving forward. This person will bring a process improvement mindset and someone who enjoys driving the overall efficiency of the accounting and finance team.
Responsibilities for Controller in Denver, CO:
Own and oversee all aspects of accounting including: month/period end close, GL, revenue accounting, physician compensation, payroll, cash management and intercompany consolidations
Oversee and manage team of up to 6 individuals in accounting, finance, payroll and AP
Train and mentor employees, delegate and direct tasks, help plan and assist when needed
Drive accounting process improvement and efficiency initiatives
Requirements:
BS in Accounting, CPA required and healthcare industry experience required.
8+ years progressive accounting experience with 2+ years of management experience
Very strong month end close, cash management, physician comp planning and consolidations experience
PE backed company experience
