Sales Manager
Our big brand, fun client in Providence is looking for a Sales Manager to join their team for a long-term contract (hybrid - in the office Tuesday-Thursday). In this role, you will play a pivotal role in achieving revenue targets through strategic planning, effective execution, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. This role requires a keen understanding of retail dynamics, strong analytical skills, and the ability to drive sales growth through innovative strategies.
Responsibilities:
+ Deliver on revenue goals by strategically pitching items for Planogram (POG) and seasonal placement, leveraging sales trends, and accurately forecasting demand
+ Collaborate closely with retail partners to develop and execute mutually beneficial strategies, including optimizing cost of business spend and marketing funding
+ Understand retail partners' key performance indicators (KPIs) and recommend products and brands to align with Point-of-Sale (POS) plans
+ Partner effectively with internal teams such as replenishment, strategic marketing, global commercial operations (GCO), flow planning, and data management to enhance brand visibility and operational efficiency
+ Stay updated on industry trends and channel/retailer dynamics, communicate insights internally, and advocate for strategies that meet evolving market demands
Requirements:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a relevant discipline; MBA preferred
+ Proven experience in sales management within the retail industry, preferably with a focus on consumer goods
+ Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and developing strategic partnerships
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
+ Ability to effectively present ideas and negotiate terms with retail partners
+ Strong capability to analyze sales data, market trends, and performance metrics to drive decision-making
+ Ensure accuracy in forecasting, reporting, and project management; efficiently manage multiple projects and priorities within specified timelines
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
