In this leadership role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the procurement and vendor management strategy, ensuring cost-effective and efficient sourcing of products and services. This role requires a proven track record in negotiating and managing vendor contracts, optimizing vendor relationships, and driving continuous improvement in procurement processes.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership:

Develop and execute the overall procurement and vendor management strategy aligned with the company's goals and objectives.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and align procurement strategies accordingly.

Provide leadership and guidance to the procurement and vendor management team.

Vendor Relationship Management:

Identify, evaluate, and select vendors based on performance, quality, cost, and reliability.

Cultivate and manage relationships with key vendors to ensure a reliable and high-quality supply chain.

Conduct regular vendor performance reviews and implement improvement plans as needed.

Contract Negotiation and Management:

Lead negotiations for contracts, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for the company.

Review and draft contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Monitor contract performance and enforce terms as necessary.

Cost Management:

Implement cost-saving initiatives and strategies to optimize procurement processes.

Analyze market trends and identify opportunities for cost reduction without compromising quality.

Risk Management:

Identify and mitigate potential risks related to procurement activities.

Develop and implement risk management strategies for the business as it relates to vendor management and procurement.

Process Optimization:

Evaluate and improve existing procurement and vendor management processes.

Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Compliance:

Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.

Stay informed about industry trends and changes in procurement regulations.

Team Development:

Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing procurement and vendor management team.

Foster a collaborative and positive work environment.

Required Skills, Knowledge & Abilities: Bachelor's degree

10+ years’ experience in procurement and vendor management roles, with a proven track record of strategic leadership.

Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

In-depth knowledge of procurement processes, contract management, and vendor relationship management.

Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations governing procurement activities.

Demonstrated ability to drive cost savings and process improvements.

Experience in a leadership role overseeing a procurement team.

Certification in procurement (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) is a plus.

Compensation:160k-180k annually
