The VP, Partner Marketing & Sales is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive plan to drive sales through partner channels. This individual will have direct responsibility for managing a team of relationship and marketing managers. This role will oversee the development and maintenance of distribution relationships, through successfully leveraging partner marketing playbooks, marketing campaigns, and initiatives.
Essential Responsibilities:
Lead a relationship management team to execute on performance metrics and drive sales growth from Pets Best distribution partners
Lead partner marketing strategy, framework and execution to drive B2B2C sales
Partner with Business Development on scoping new distribution partners and developing marketing proposals
Strengthen relationships with distribution partners to drive increased sales and develop new sales channel opportunities
Partner with marketing, insurance product, operations and external agencies to develop and execute partner GTM plans and increase partner sales penetration
Ensure partners are performing to sales performance targets and meeting other contractual and compliance obligations
Drive the delivery of internal and external value-added analysis and reporting to partners to evaluate and drive sales performance
Drive coordination of portfolio performance reviews with partners and key accounts
Work with Sales Operations team to resolve escalated partner issues
Attend industry and client events and meetings as required
Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years experience in B2B sales and/or client marketing
5+ years experience in partner marketing management, B2B2C sales, client management or client marketing with a proven track record of results
3+ years of experience leading and managing teams
Minimum 2+ years of sales experience calling on and delivering formal communications to senior and c-level executives
Demonstrated success in contract negotiations, competitive pricing, and business planning and
Experience managing large corporate accounts
Up to 50% travel required
Position location – remote – preferred near SYF site locations
Desired Characteristics
MBA or 8 years of financial services or insurance experience
In-depth knowledge of the insurance industry
Analytical thinker with excellent communication, training, leadership and presentation skills
Strong business/industry acumen
Strong negotiation skills; proven ability to influence corporate decision makers
Digital marketing experience
Ability to demonstrate innovation and creative approaches to business needs
Strong consultative sales skills
