Job Description:

We are looking for highly skilled Java/AWS Developer with 5+ years of post - collegiate experience building scalable complex applications. You will design, develop, support, deploy and/or test and influence advanced technology solutions of small scale that are high-quality, innovative, efficient, creative, scalable, adaptable, dynamic, fully performing and comply with all standards and best practices in support of business and Client outcomes and objectives. Work independently and apply advanced engineering skills, tools, practices, and techniques to all deliverables. Exhibits advanced understanding of core engineering concepts such as: development, testing, source control, security, performance, data, DevSecOps, system administration, agile planning, and focused on learning more about these domains. Ability to focus on task at hand, follow-through on prescribed plan with ability to be flexible and think under pressure. Highly motivated team player with a strong desire to learn, grow, and continuously improve.

Preferred Skills

Java / J2EE, JavaScript / Typescript / ReactJS

AWS Serverless - AWS Lambda, SQS, SNS, DynamoDB, API Gateway etc.

AWS CDK for Infrastructure as a Code. (Experience with Hashicorp Terraform is an added plus )

Other standard developer toolchain items: IntelliJ, Git, Jira, Jenkins, Gradle / Maven

CRM Skills - Salesforce

Qualifications

This developer will join a Client obsessed, persistent team of 2 current developers (+ 1 outgoing), client experience designer, SDET and an support engineer.

Will work in a true agile fashion working to deliver API's and integrations for Benefit Admin platform to our Clients.

This team is working in Cloud Native / serverless architecture.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, support, deploy and/or test leading technology solutions that are high-quality, innovative, efficient, secure, creative, scalable, adaptable, dynamic, fully performing and comply with all standards and best practices in support of business and Client outcomes and objectives

Execute full software and product development life cycle (SDLC) and lead continuous improvements

Develop leading deliverables to deliver technical solution(s) seeking business and Client feedback

Write advanced well-designed, testable, flexible, and scalable code and/or technology solutions

Produce specifications and determine operational feasibility

Integrate leading software components into a fully functional software system

Develop leading software verification (testing) plans and quality assurance procedures

Document and maintain leading technical solution functionality

Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems

Deploy leading programs and evaluate business and Client feedback

Ensure software is updated with latest features

Participate in code reviews, ability to approve large features, and validate vulnerability fixes

Ability to write functional specifications for large features

Effectively mentor other engineers

Proactively improve application performance, reliability, and scale

Southern region: $103,900 - $155,900 annually

Central region: $109,600 - $164,400 annually

Northern region: $117,100 - $175,700 annually

If you are a Colorado resident, the salary range for this position is $ 99,200 148,800 annually.

If you are a New York resident, the salary range for this position is $$117,100 - $175,700 annually.

If you are Washington resident, the salary range for this position is $109,600 - $164,400 annually.

The full range minimum and maximum listed in the job posting is tied to the GCF level and job family.
