This job is a member of the Pricing and Yield Management Team within the Revenue Management Division.

Responsible for significant top line impact to company revenues.

What you'll do

Director in Revenue Management would support one of the following areas: Pricing and Yield Management, RM Development and Operations Research, Offer Management and Delivery Modernization, Revenue Analysis and RM Planning and Operations

Creates a relentless focus on marketplace execution by assessing the competitive marketplace

Identifies new revenue opportunities and leveraging available tools, processes, best practices and reporting

Develops managers and analysts to ensure a high level of job proficiency and prepare them for future roles with increasing responsibility

All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent experience/training

Master of Business Administration (MBA) or Technical Masters in relevant field or equivalent experience/training

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

Experience in Revenue Management, Finance, Network Planning or Sales Planning

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

Ability to manage, motivate, coach and counsel a diverse team of managers and analysts

Understanding of airline economics and operations and revenue management techniques, and the ability to apply that knowledge to strategic problems

Prior experience in Revenue Management, Finance, Network Planning or Sales Planning preferred

Ability to build collaborative relationships with and consensus amongst multiple stakeholders with varying points of view

Willingness to take calculated risks, with consistent results-oriented performance

Display key attributes required by American Airlines: Personal integrity, respectful of others and their opinions, inclusive, team oriented, adaptable, positive and optimistic
