$143,600.00 - $266,800.00 At Infinera, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. Your actual base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. This role may be eligible for equity grants, discretionary bonuses, or commission payments. The amount of these incentives is based on the terms of the Company’s incentive plans, the Company’s financial performance, and/or individual employee job performance.

“This position requires direct or indirect access to certain confidential information, hardware, software, technology, or technical information (referred to here as “Export-Controlled Information”) controlled under the U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR). All personnel in this position must be eligible to or be able to obtain authorization from the appropriate agency to access applicable Export-Controlled Information. The U.S. Department of Commerce currently requires a foreign person with a most recent citizenship or permanent residency of Sudan, Ukraine, or a country currently designated in Country Group D:1, E:1 or E:2 (Supplement No. 1 to Part 740, Title 15) to have an export control license to access our Export-Controlled Information, unless they meet certain exemptions provided under U.S. export control laws and regulations. The list of applicable countries in Country Group D:1, E:1 or E:2 may be updated by the U.S. government from time to time. The current processing time for an export control license is approximately 4 to 6 months.

You will be required to provide certain information for export control compliance assessment purposes, and your information will be reviewed by Infinera's hiring and export control teams to ensure compliance with the U.S. export control laws and regulations. Infinera is looking for a motivated candidate to join its revenue team. This role involves proactively collaborating with sales and service management teams to guide on sales transactions & programs to optimize in period revenue recognition while maintaining full compliance with US SEC and US GAAP requirements.
This role reports directly to the Senior Director of Revenue Technical and manages a team of talented individuals. The individual will be a subject matter expert providing clear revenue recognition guidance for teams to follow. The role includes providing leadership to sales regions on key issues, development of whitepapers, advising on emerging issues and ad hoc policy issues, working in conjunction with the compliance team to ensure Infinera policy and US GAAP has been properly implemented.
Responsibilities: I want to and can do that!
· Create and track key operational performance metrics
· Act as a primary technical accounting resource for the company by researching, resolving and documenting accounting issues that arise during the quarter.
· Work with Sales, Sales Operations and Legal during contract negotiations to provide guidance and assistance in order to ensure proper revenue recognition
· Work with the Sales teams to provide guidance on deal structure while maintaining adherence to revenue recognition policy and booking requirements
· Provide technical accounting guidance to various Infinera stakeholders across the company to
ensure accurate accounting, reporting and disclosure of Infinera's financial statements.
· Review customer contracts and apply revenue recognition guidelines and document the assessment in contract memorandums.
· Assess the impact of revenue recognition under ASC 606 accounting standards
· Assist in the review of revenue disclosures for external financial reporting, including 10Q's and 10K's ensuring compliance with SEC and GAAP reporting requirements.
· Partner with the pricing committee to provide revenue recognition impacts based on various pricing models.
· Provide technical accounting assistance with special projects within the entire Quote to Cash cycle
· Manage the process of maintaining Corporate Revenue Accounting Policy including regular updates of all accounting policies.
· Provide regular training sessions to business partners regarding revenue policies and procedures
· Manage the preparation of data and other supporting information requests as needed for internal and external audits
· Ensure Sarbanes-Oxley requirements are met for relevant areas (disclosure controls, policy review controls)
Requirements:
· BA/BS in Finance/Accounting
· Minimum 12 years of relevant industry experience
· Must have strong system knowledge and expertise to resolve issues or limitations
· Proficient in researching accounting literature
· Must be detail-oriented, proactive approach and the ability to work with cross-functional teams
· Must be able to effectively manage critical deadlines and prioritize various tasks
· Ability to work in a team environment
· Strong analytical and problem resolution skills, including the ability to research and simplify complex situations
