We are looking for a positive, highly motivated ***T******ransportation Supervisor,*** who has experience leading a team of CDL A Drivers in a fast-paced, dynamic and high volume environment, and who is dedicated to excellent customer support to join our team in Chicago, IL. The Transportation Supervisor works closely with the Transportation Manager, Dispatchers, CDL A Drivers, and other Department Managers. The ideal candidate MUST be able to demonstrate the following:
Experience Requirements:
* 2+ years hands-on leadership experience supervising CDL A drivers.
* 2+ years experience supervising drivers within DOT regulations.
* 2+ years' experience supervising dispatch operations.
* Demonstrated ability to manage safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
* Demonstrated ability to effectively coach and lead employees to become successful members of the team
* Understanding of DOT Compliance, Hours of Service, and safety requirements.
* Demonstrated ability to manage safety and quality standards; including completing audits and all necessary follow up.
* Additional duties as assigned, per customer and management requirements.
Minimum Requirements:
* Education: High School Diploma
* 2+ years transportation industry experience managing CDL A drivers and dispatch within DOT Regulations
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Knowledge of OSHA and DOT safety regulations
* Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
* Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment
