Job Summary:
The Senior Overlay Services Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day monitoring and administration of accounts within Overlay Services, which is comprised of three primary product offerings: Tax Overlay, Impact Overlay, and Overlay Support for internal teams. The specialist will analyze trade recommendations generated by the system, consolidate, execute, and allocate trades across accounts. The role also involves mentoring junior Overlay Support staff, researching complex account errors, and providing necessary corrections. Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for day-to-day monitoring and administration of accounts. Overlay Services is comprised of three primary product offerings:
Tax Overlay is a customizable solution for investors who want to control or customize the realization of gains in their portfolios, or diversify concentrated portfolios in a tax efficient manner.
Impact Overlay allows clients to combine multiple personal conviction screens (security restrictions based on various social category screens (“SRI”) and apply them to a traditional SMA / UMA.
Overlay support for internal teams for large rebalance activity or sophisticated trading scenarios
Analyze trade recommendations generated by the system from pre-defined trading models and product guidelines.
Consolidate, execute and allocate trades across accounts.
Review and analyze accounts for outliers to ensure they meet model specifications and fit within product guidelines
Act as a mentor to junior Overlay Support staff
Research complex account errors and provide necessary corrections.
Identify process improvement opportunities to reduce costs and increase efficiencies.
Adherence to and application of Envestnet legal, compliance, risk, business continuity and administrative policy within the role and department(s) including the timely completion of training & awareness, affirmations and testing as requested.
As part of the responsibilities for this role, you will understand and readily support Envestnet's established corporate business practices, policies, internal controls and procedures designed to create value or minimize risk.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience required.
Must have detailed knowledge of investment management operations and practices with particular emphasis on separately managed accounts including trading and portfolio accounting systems.
Solid knowledge of financial markets, including equities, fixed income, mutual funds, and ETFs.
Familiarity with Modern Portfolio Theory /Asset Allocation methodology.
Some understanding of multi-factor risk models and optimization.
Must possess strong attention to detail, and demonstrate the ability to work under pressure.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
Experience working in an extremely fast paced environment with daily mission-critical deadlines.
Experience managing a team performing a daily process, specifically in the investment management arena.
Experience monitoring and measuring results and process statistics.
Experience analyzing process output and identifying opportunities for improvement.
Extensive experience with Excel.
Ability to efficiently work with large sets of data.
