Salesforce IT Architect - Remote
Job Description: We are seeking an experienced and versatile Salesforce IT Architect with a deep background in Salesforce development and architecture, and proficiency in Java or related technologies. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Salesforce CRM, particularly in the financial products and services industry, and will be adept in a product model environment. This role requires not only strong technical skills but also excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to effectively collaborate with various business units.
As a Salesforce IT Architect, you will own the integrity and strength of the solutions recommended. You'll act as a trusted advisor to our team and clients, and an effective mentor for the team. You will need a deep understanding of the Salesforce platform, but just as importantly, top-notch people skills to get your ideas and solutions across to stakeholders and gain the integrity to get your visions built into successful solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop scalable and efficient architecture solutions for Salesforce and other affiliated solutions for Sales, Service, and platform needs.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their vision, strategy, and requirements.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, including user story writing, defining success criteria, and documenting testing steps.
Troubleshoot issues and provide timely resolutions.
Supervise the configuration, quality assurance, testing, and deployment of Salesforce solutions.
Conduct regular reviews of existing systems and make recommendations for improvements.
Document architectural designs and standards for future reference.
Plan and collaborate on projects and workstreams.
Work closely with development teams to plan, design, develop, test, and maintain the Java platform.
Provide technical leadership for application architecture, technical design, programming, and software development methodology.
Collaborate with web developers to develop internal tools and platforms for the build process.
Ensure application security, performance, and scalability.
Lead the continuous integration and continuous delivery process.
Develop and document best practices for team collaboration, estimating, productivity, software architecture, technical design, and documentation.
Required Qualifications:
At least 5-8 years of experience as a Salesforce developer, preferably in Salesforce CRM.
Proven experience as a Salesforce IT Architect with expertise in Salesforce development and architecture.
Proficiency in Java and related technologies
Experience in the financial products and services industry.
Familiarity with DevOps practices and working with GitHub pipelines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.
Ability to work collaboratively with various teams and stakeholders.
Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
Salesforce solution design experience.
Skilled in Core Salesforce cloud configuration and customization (Sales, Service, Marketing, Experience), declarative and programmatic Salesforce tooling, and integrating with 3rd party systems.
Experience with various architecture patterns (e.g., Monolithic, Microservices, SOA, Data Driven, Event Driven, Onion/Clean/Hexagonal).
Proficient in integration patterns using REST API, SFTP, Kafka/Solace.
Exposure in Microservices tech stack like including Java, Spring Boot, Spring frameworks, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift
Knowledge of cloud products/services, Kubernetes, and preferably GCP.
Familiarity in other technologies like JSON/REST API
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced certifications in Salesforce.
Design experience.
Familiarity with messaging tools such as RabbitMQ or Kafka.
Familiarity with Java / OpenShift.
Experience with test automation tools like Selenium or Playwright
Experience with other relevant technologies and platforms.
Master's degree in a related field.
Prior experience an IT architect
Salesforce certifications such as:
Administrator
Sales Cloud Consultant
Service Cloud Consultant
Platform App Builder
Typical portfolio or solutions architect certifications such as:
TOGAF (The Open Group Architecture Framework)
AWS Certified Solutions Architect
Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
Google Professional Cloud Architect
