Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) and Refrigeration (HVAC/R) in Small Commercial buildings in the US (and more worldwide) are operated inefficiently and fail without warning. Building owners and operators waste billions of dollars in utility bills, emergency repairs, downtime and food waste due to poor management of their HVAC/R. Tragically, these systems also generate the same amount of greenhouse gasses as 43 million gas cars and contribute significantly towards global warming.

Monaire is a technology enabled HVAC and Refrigeration management service for owners and operators of restaurants and gas stations. We help these small business owners save time and money by:

Reducing energy bills

Reducing HVAC and Refrigeration repair bills

Saving owner/employee time managing repairs and breakdown

All managed entirely by Monaire!

Monaire launched in Madison, WI in March 2022 and is currently servicing over 150 locations in Wisconsin. We have acquired these customers 100% via referrals - validating our product-market fit. This role presents an opportunity for you to lead sales in pursuit of scaling Monaire to 1000+ locations by the end of 2024.

As an Account Executive, You will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth by identifying, qualifying, and closing new business opportunities within the customer industry. You will be part of a team that is transforming the way HVAC and Refrigeration systems are operated in restaurants, gas station convenience stores and retail locations. You will be responsible for building relationships with owners and managers of restaurant, gas station convenience store and small businesses “customers”, understanding their unique business needs, and showing how Monaire solutions can help them achieve their success. This is a 100% remote, field sales opportunity. Candidates must live local to the territory or be willing to relocate.

Requirements Responsibilities

Proactively source and nurture high-potential leads and skillfully navigate the entire sales journey from initial outreach to closing deals:

Uncover and qualify promising prospects through a multi-pronged approach, leveraging personal contracts, industry events, online research, and targeted marketing initiatives

Generate list of prospective restaurants, gas station convenience stores, or other small business owners and manage the entire sales cycle from initial call to close

Initiate and conduct insightful discovery calls to delve into the customer’s business objectives and pain points as it relates to HVAC and Refrigeration systems, utility bills, repair costs and downtime.

Introduce the Monaire solution as the ideal solution to address their unique needs and challenges, specifically targeting HVAC and refrigeration equipment for their business.

Craft tailored proposals that align seamlessly with each customer's specific requirements and budgetary constraints.

Expertly negotiate and finalize deals, ensuring customer satisfaction and maximizing revenue potential.

Leverage our CRM to manage all sales activities

Understand the competitive landscape and determine how to best position Monaire in the market

Maintain close collaboration with the operations and onboarding team to ensure a seamless transition and unwavering support for new clients, fostering an exceptional customer experience from the outset.

Requirements

To be successful in the role, you must have

2+ years of experience in a sourcing or closing sales role, restaurant operations, or a relatable field and industry

Understanding of operations in restaurants, gas station convenience stores or retail.

As this role involves fieldwork, it is essential that you have dependable transportation (mileage will be reimbursed).

Excellent communication, organizations, interpersonal, and presentation skills the ability to sell and negotiate at all decision-making levels

Experience with solutions selling

General technical proficiency with using and conducting customer demos with software

Demonstrated ability to build rapport and trust with customers, fostering long-term relationships.

Proven track record of success in meeting and exceeding goals

Capability to thrive in a dynamic, entrepreneurial, and collaborative team setting

Self-motivated, creative, and flexible

Proficiency in using Zoho/SalesForce/Zendesk CRM platforms or a similar customer relationship management system.

It would be great if you also have

Experience with HVAC and Refrigeration systems.
