We are seeking a Director of Communications to lead the development and execution of comprehensive internal communication strategies to enhance employee engagement, promote organizational goals, and ensure consistent messaging throughout the company. This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional communication/writing skills, business acumen and the ability to manage competing priorities and drive change across a dynamic organization. This role will both lead the internal communications function, and act as the primary writer for C-level Executive internal and external communications.

Key Responsibilities

* Strategic Planning: Lead the development, implementation and ongoing evaluation of an aggressive and comprehensive strategic communication strategy aligned with the company's vision, values, and goals.

* Internal Executive Communication: Collaborate with senior leadership to craft and deliver key messages, speeches, presentations, publications, and town hall meetings, both internally and externally. Work with CEO to craft internal messaging campaigns. Create content strategy for speakers at key internal events.

* External Executive Communication: Work with CEO and key executives to ideate and craft external thought leadership messaging and campaigns aligned with company strategy. Cultivate and maintain relationships with media outlets and partners to maximize exposure and coverage.

* Content Development: Lead a team that will create, curate, and manage high-quality content for various internal communication channels, including intranet, newsletters, emails, and SharePoint.

* Measurement: Establish metrics to assess the effectiveness of internal communication efforts and continuously improve strategies based on feedback and data analysis.

* Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of internal communication and Change Management professionals, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.

* Collaboration: Collaborate with the marketing team to align messaging and leverage content for cross-channel and cross-audience use

* Crisis Communication: Develop and manage internal communication strategies and protocols for crisis situations as needed

Qualifications

* Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in a corporate communication related role, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership position. At least 3 years of experience supporting communication at the C-level.

* Deep expertise in writing and editing, with a proven ability to write with specific brand and/or leaders' voices in mind

* Strong business acumen with the ability to understand complex business and financial concepts and translate them into simple, concise language that is easily understood by all employees.

* Proven experience in managing large-scale communication projects and initiatives through ambiguity.

* Strong leadership and team-building capabilities, with proven ability to develop, mentor and teach teams.

* Ability to influence and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple initiatives and competing priorities.

* Demonstrated knowledge of key internal communications platforms and processes; experience implementing company intranet software desirable.

Our compensation ranges reflect the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The pay details below range from our lowest geographic market up to our highest geographic market. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills and experience depending on the position offered, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
