Director, IT Strategy and Operations

Lucid Motors is seeking a strategic and visionary leader for the role of Director, IT Strategy and Operations. This critical position will drive the development and execution of IT strategies that align with our company’s objectives . The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a keen understanding of IT infrastructure, and the ability to manage complex projects and budgets effectively.
Responsibilities:
Work with the VP of IT to establish a vision for technological innovation that drives business growth, efficiency, and compliance.
Define and execute a comprehensive IT strategy, including short-term (monthly) and long-term (3-5 years) plans.
Define a Target Operating Model that balances in-house vs. outsourcing activities, enhancing Lucid IT’s competitive advantage and business-critical capabilities.
Drive IT and cross-functional teams towards the implementation of IT strategies in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Implement strategic planning processes that align IT initiatives with business goals, including assumptions, risks, critical success factors, and business cases.
Lead change management efforts for key IT/system/process transitions.
Execute special projects to support enterprise strategy through IT, such as integrating new technologies, improving data analytics capabilities, and enhancing cybersecurity measures.
Act as a thought leader, challenging the status quo and keeping abreast of IT trends to inform senior leadership of new possibilities.
Act as the spokesperson for the IT department, promoting its capabilities and successes across all business teams.
Report regularly on IT progress against OKRs and strategic priorities, adjusting plans based on emerging needs.
Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure understanding and support of IT initiatives.
Develop and implement effective organizational structures within the IT department.
Lead staff development initiatives to build a high-performing, agile team.
Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
Qualifications:

Strong ability to bring clarity to ambiguous areas and decisions.
Strong ability to analyze, drive decisions, and execute in a fast-paced environment.
Strong ability to manage multiple projects with constant prioritization.
Interpersonal and leadership skills to build credibility across functions.
Strong executive communication skills, with the ability to present key points to senior leadership.
Experience in a fast-growth company focused on the automotive (preferred), mobility, or technology sector.
Management experience of 5+ years.
Consulting experience of 3+ years.
MBA or relevant graduate degree.
