About the Role

The Company is seeking a Head of Business Development to join their team. This strategic role involves working closely with the President to develop and execute a growth strategy and business plan in the USA, with a strong focus on building a robust business development strategy, nurturing partnerships, and ensuring the visibility and lead flow in the market. The successful candidate will be responsible for the commercial function, including participating in senior leadership discussions, building and leading a business development team, and maintaining a strong focus on budgets, targets, and achievements. The role also requires constant market influence, fine-tuning of the quoting process, and providing feedback to drive the future roadmap and operational excellence. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline, with a preference for a PhD or MSc, and demonstrate strong leadership experience in commercial teams. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in project management, business development, sales, and marketing for international markets, as well as professional experience in a commercial function, including sales, business development, and key account management. Exceptional communication skills, the ability to build and expand professional networks, and a history of successful strategic partnerships are essential. The Head of Business Development will be fully responsible for achieving sales targets in the USA and must be adept at setting targets, monitoring performance, and coaching and guiding the business development team.
