Vice President of Contracts & Estimating - DIRECT HIRE POSITION
Industry: MARITIME / MARAD SHIP REPAIR / DRY DOCK
Location: East SF Bay Area
State: California
Salary: $200,000 - $300,000
EXPERIENCE / SKILLS REQUIRED: Must have ship repair expertise from pricing to proposal, with experience in managing FAR clauses and the overall administration of contracts, as well as:
Marine estimating experience (i.e., ship repair estimating / shipbuilding / procurement).
Contract and estimating administration management experience for ship repair.
Experience with Navy/NAVSEA, MSC, MARAD ship repair, and knowledge of Navy Standard Items (FAR Clauses)
Bachelor's Degree and minimum 10 years of estimating experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
At least 3 years of managing and developing contracts and/or estimating professionals.
Experienced in the entire life cycle of prime contracting, from proposal phase to contract closeout.
Excellent business acumen and experienced in risk management.
Proficiency and experience with FAR, DFARS, and DoD contracts.
Excellent communication, presentation, training, team building, paired with outstanding leadership skills and the ability to perform in a cross-functional business environment.
Excellent writing skills is a must—such as writing clear and concise reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, solicitations/RFPs, or governmental regulations.
Ability to effect and manage change.
Motivational and visionary leadership skills, including the ability to recognize and develop emerging leadership talent.

Excellent compensation and retirement, plus relocation package negotiable.
