Summary:
As an IT Database and Application Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the organization’s database systems and software applications. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity, security, and optimal performance. This position requires a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage complex projects. This is a hybrid role.
Accountability: Reports to the Vice President of Operations
Responsibilities:
Information Technology
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Hardware (desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, multifunction devices, peripherals, and cables) installations, configuration changes, updates/upgrades, and troubleshooting. Software installations, configuration changes, updates/upgrades, and troubleshooting.
Provides technical assistance and best-in-class experience for all IT requests.
Provides phone support and call routing as necessary.
Assists onsite at Prosperity Now’s office and various location(s) as needed.
Onsite provisioning and deployment of new computers as well as the reprovision of existing computers.
Resolving service requests and incidents including but not limited to user onboards, offboards, active directory management, spam filter management/training, printer configurations, remote connectivity hardware/software support, password resets, O365 management.
Diagnose and troubleshoot network related challenges ranging from Wi-Fi challenges to network outages.
Coordinates appointments and onsite visits with end users as needed.
Executes recommended fixes, updates, or change controls where appropriate.
Follows best practices as defined by vendor, manufacturer, or IT partner defined processes.
Process and Work Instruction creation, approval, testing, and adherence.
Turning “tribal knowledge” into a repeatable audit- ready process for consistent execution of IT operations.
Works directly with vendors to resolve issues and manage 3rd party applications.
Identifies and declares breakdowns within systems and processes.
Communicates openly and authentically to ensure breakdowns are acknowledged and addressed in a timely manner and works towards a shared outcome ensuring the best possible user experience.
Ensures safety and security of users and their data in accordance with required policies, procedures, and security framework(s).
Data and Applications
Provide first and second-line support for Salesforce and other business applications and software.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to application performance, functionality, and integration.
Manage and maintain Salesforce and other application and software configurations, user permissions, and data integrity.
Work closely with the Salesforce development team to implement changes and enhancements.
Monitor application and software performance and take proactive measures to ensure optimal operation.
Develop and maintain documentation for application support processes and procedures.
Assist in the deployment of new software, applications, and updates, ensuring minimal disruption to users.
Train end-users on application features and best practices to maximize their efficiency.
Collaborate with other internal and external IT team members to provide comprehensive support and ensure consistent service delivery.
Stay up to date with the latest Salesforce features, updates, and best practices.
Management
Responsible for reporting on defined project KPIs, metrics, and goals.
Assists, escalates, and consults with other team members as necessary to achieve documented response and resolution times.
Communicates with users as required: keeping them informed of ticket progress, notifying them of impending changes or agreed outages, and following up as necessary.
Respond promptly and professionally with user and fellow team members, keeping commitments or resetting expectations when necessary.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Proven experience as an IT Service Desk Engineer or similar role, with a focus in database administration and application management.
Strong knowledge of Salesforce administration (user management, configuration, development tools, and data management) and other database systems, query optimization and data modeling.
Strong troubleshooting skills and experience with diagnosing and resolving application issues.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Experience with IT service management (ITSM) tools such as ServiceNow or Jira.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Certification in Salesforce Administration (e.g., Salesforce Certified Administrator) or Project Management (PMP) is a plus.
Supervisory Responsibility: No direct reports at this time
Work Environment : This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.

Travel : 10-20 percent
FLSA Classification: Full-time
Salary Range: $85,000 – 112,000
