The Junior Systems Administrator monitors/operates Windows servers, ensures continuous and optimal system health and performance, performs regular system maintenance, software upgrades and system-wide backups, and provides Tier 2 IT/desktop support to staff. This position is a cross between an escalated Help Desk technician and a Systems Administrator. This individual will be responsible for both the RMM and the Hyper-V environment. Each member of our IT team works collaboratively and understands the importance of their role in maintaining a successful, growing, and profitable firm. This position is eligible for a hybrid in-office schedule after a period of on-site training.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Monitor and manage Windows servers.

Provide Tier 1 support on Network Infrastructure issues and alerts.

Fully manage RMM environment.

Assist in managing our Hyper-V environment, performing routing server management.

Provide Tier 2 support for Help Desk Requests and serve as backup for Help Desk staff.

Contribute to a positive working atmosphere.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES Solid knowledge of Windows Server Administration.

Knowledge of Hyper-V.

Strong understanding of DNS, IP, and Networking.

Robust understanding of Active Directory, Entra ID and M365

Knowledge of PowerShell, MFA services, and RMM management.

Knowledge of Microsoft Power Suite, AI, and automation

Excellent problem-solving skills

Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills, including tact & diplomacy; ability to persuate and concede appropriately.

Ability to learn new technologies very quickly; ability to act as "change agent" for driving process and continuous improvements within our organization.

Ability to complete multiple tasks under pressure without direct supervision and deliver high quality results.

Ability to manage remote and local employee setup and support.

Ability to travel to remote offices on occasion.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS: 3+ years of Helpdesk/Desktop Support and 1+ years Server Administration experience.

Virtual and physical server administration with Hyper-V

Setting up and working with Active Directory

Strong experience with RMM systems

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This position requires visual acuity and manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office equipment. The employee must be able to sit or stand at a desk for a full shift and lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.

We offer a competitive compensation package based on experience and qualifications. Excellent benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage. We also offer the opportunity to participate in a pre-tax Flexible Spending plan, Employee Stock Ownership Plan, and 401k.

Salary range: $60,000 - $70,000 depending on qualifications. Placement within this pay range will be determined by factors such as education, qualifications, project complexity and/or experience. The maximum is reserved for candidates who currently meet all job requirements.
