Overview:
The System Administrator will play an instrumental role in maintaining the reliable functionality of Trumark’s computer systems, servers, and networks. The successful candidate will bring at least 5 years of experience as a System Administrator at an SMB, as this position demands a considerable level of independence.
Reporting to the IT Manager, the System Administrator will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining a wide range of technologies, including servers, networks, and applications that are both on-prem and cloud hosted. As such, the position is best suited for a “jack-of-all-trades” type System Administrator with a wide skillset, that can also recognize the right time to get additional/outside resources.
Essential Duties:
Install, configure, maintain and update ~400 Windows 10/11 endpoints and ~40 Servers in a multi-site Active Directory environment
Install, configure, and manage a HyperV server environment (2016+)
Plan, build, and maintain on-prem RD server farm
Manage Active Directory, Group Policies, and application servers including DHCP/DNS
Administer M365 environment including Entra, One-Drive, SharePoint, and Teams
Maintain and audit user accounts, OUs, and GPOs
Manage and test backup and disaster recovery systems
Create and maintain patch schedules and policies
Utilize SAML, SSO, APIs, and related technologies to connect on-prem and cloud based platforms
Keep up-to-date documentation of applications, systems, and network equipment
Troubleshoot and maintain network infrastructure including switches, firewalls, and wireless access points (Cisco CBS, Meraki, Sonicwall, Ubiquiti)
Act as an escalation point for other IT team members for advanced IT issues
Stay up to date with the latest Microsoft and related technologies and provide recommendations to improve systems
Conduct regular security assessments to strengthen data protection and ensure compliance with company policies
Document all changes, issues, and resolution in the ticketing system
Make recommendations to the IT Manager on policy changes and hardware and software modifications based on experience and working with users
Work with 3rd party vendors and MSPs on a variety of projects and issues
Other responsibilities or projects as assigned by the IT Manager
Education and Additional Requirements: Position is primarily on-site at our San Ramon, CA location
Minimum of 5 years of solid experience required as a System Administrator in a Microsoft AD environment (required)
Minimum of 5 years maintaining network equipment including Switches, Firewalls, APs (required)
Experience with working with SAML, SSO, and APIs
Ability to see inefficiencies, and apply scripting and/or automation to improve processes
Related Microsoft certifications are a plus
Overnight travel out of state is periodically required
Easy access to a vehicle for local travel is periodically required

Pay range $100,000 - $120,000 based on experience
