JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the VP, Corporate Finance, the Senior Financial Analyst (SFA) will play an integral role within the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) and Treasury areas. The SFA will focus on financial reporting, analysis, and forecasting and budgeting activities as well as cash management and other treasury functions.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
Job Responsibility 1: Forecasting and Budgeting
% of Time: 30
Full ownership of preparing and updating weekly cash account forecast including incorporating latest thinking and expected changes
Work closely with VP, Corporate Finance on 10-year cash flow forecast including collaborating with real estate, investment, and philanthropy teams for key inputs
Manage annual budget process for corporate operations, partnering with group leaders to prepare detailed budgets
Primary point of contact for commercial and multi-family teams during the preparation of annual budgets
Job Responsibility 2: Reporting
% of Time: 30
Prepare monthly financial package including financial statements, KPIs/metrics and commentary
Responsible for monthly entity review including researching and resolving issues affecting TSO entity
Collaborate with accounting team to help map general ledger activity to financial reports
Update internal rate of return (IRR) analyses on an annual basis
Job Responsibility 3: Treasury
% of Time: 25
Monitor corporate cash and determine when to borrow on lines of credit
Handle treasury functions including executing corporate wire activity, bank account set-up and updates, signatory changes, maintain lines of credit and develop and maintain relevant treasury policies and procedures
Job Responsibility 4: Analysis
% of Time: 10
Execute value-added analysis and provide decision support for special projects and initiatives
Review current processes and make recommendations for systematizing and streamlining

Education / Training
Minimum Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent combination of education and work experience in accounting or finance fields.
Experience/Technical Skills
4-6 years of experience in accounting and/or finance roles with demonstrated knowledge of financial statements and accounting principles
2-3 years of experience in financial planning and analysis functions, including annual budget, capital budgeting, cash flow forecasting and variance analysis
Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify issues and extract meaningful insights
Proficient with Microsoft Office with particular focus on Excel
Familiarity with real estate reporting applications such as Yardi or MRI, a plus
Experience in Real Estate industry a plus
Ability to organize and prioritize with an acute attention to detail
Works well independently and within a team, demonstrating initiative, flexibility, and collaboration
High degree of professionalism and eagerness to learn
