Senior Financial Analyst

We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst in Financial Planning and Analysis to support NVIDIA’s Software Engineering organization, focused on Autonomous Vehicles.

As part of the Finance organization, your focus will be supporting NVIDIA’s Autonomous Vehicles bring-up and development. Your overarching responsibilities will be to build and maintain a strong, collaborative partnership with DRIVE Engineering leaders to strategically align on roadmaps and manage the financial planning of the Autonomous Engineering organization. This is a highly visible role for an energetic individual who can function in a dynamic, fast-paced, and rapidly changing environment, with excellent communication skills.

What You’ll Be Doing

Develop strong partnerships with NV DRIVE Engineering leaders to strategically manage the global investments for the AV organization to ensure that spend is aligned to key objectives and initiatives. SW investments include contractors, software and hardware infrastructure, tools, and licenses.

Build a thorough knowledge base of the auto industry and the company to provide analyses of investments to drive insights, cost optimizing alternatives, rationalize project priorities, and drive solutions with the business.

Build and maintain a thorough understanding of DRIVE products and roadmap, develop models to forecast pre-production investment requirements, and create business metrics that are insightful and actionable to improve the Company’s performance.

Forecast Engineering investments, operating and capital expenditures, and provide analyses of quarterly variances to forecasts with risks and opportunities.

Support Corporate Finance and Accounting in the close process to ensure proper accounting treatment.

Review contracts partnering with Indirect Procurement, Accounting, and Tax team to apply proper GAAP accounting.

What We Need To See

BS/BA in Accounting, Finance, or Economics, or Engineering degree (or equivalent experience).

5+ years’ experience in Finance, with focus in business financial planning, analysis, modeling, and forecasting for a global, high-tech corporation, supporting an Engineering organization.

Deep understanding of industry technology, cost structure and market dynamics in areas related to NVIDIA’s products, research, and development.

Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills for this highly visible role which allows to interface effectively with both Finance and the Engineering.

Strong analytical skills and advanced financial modeling techniques, with ability to build and convey business insight. Experience with SAP, BPC, and visualization tools are a plus.

Understanding of financial processes in accounting, tax, and treasury to identify and inform of relevant matters.

Ability to multi-task and work in a dynamic and fast paced environment.

Ability to work independently and in teams to identify and solve problems collectively.

Ways To Stand Out From The Crowd

MBA or advanced degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field with analytical bias.

SAP experience including BPC Business Planning.

Solid business judgment with ability to think strategically and plan effectively; be hands on, accurate, with attention to details and results oriented.

Exemplary communication, written and verbal, and interpersonal skills, with ability to build trust at all levels within the Company.

Solid problem solving, negotiation, analytical and complex financial modeling skills, with ability to distill large amounts of data into understandable information for effective and efficient action.

The base salary range is 96,000 USD - 184,000 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
