Regional Manager - Northwest

The Regional Manager is responsible for improving LMC’s share in a multi-state territory by coordinating Stockholder, staff, and supplier relationships and by recruiting new Stockholders.
Assigned territory includes Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana and Wyoming.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Market LMC programs, pooling opportunities, and purchasing clinics in an effort to improve Stockholder share.
Suggest new products, services, and suppliers as required by the market.
Identify market share and Stockholder share opportunities; communicate them to LMC staff, and manage the potential.
Serve as a source of market intelligence.
Act as the LMC advocate when in the field and the Stockholder’s advocate when dealing with the internal LMC team.
Train Stockholder’s staff on best practices for using LMC as a resource.
Complete orientation of new Stockholders and manage account to attain maximum share quickly.
Frequent travel, including day and overnight travel.
Frequent car travel. Requires a valid driver’s license with a good driving record, and ability to drive for extended periods of time.
Submit and maintain call report logs.
Performs other duties as required and/or as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Forest Products, Business, and Supply Chain Management, Marketing or equivalent experience required.
Seven (7) to ten (10) years related experience.
Two (2) years of Sales or Purchasing experience, preferably in the Lumber/Building Materials Industry, with considerable knowledge of the supply chain and market.
Proven track record of successful sales/service.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to communicate well with internal and external contacts, both in writing and verbally.
Comprehensive knowledge of computer programs including Excel, Word and general processing systems used by LMC and Stockholders/dealers.
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
Considerable knowledge of the dealers, suppliers, and the products in the market.
Comprehensive knowledge of the co-op business and lumber/lumber yard industries.
