Salary Range: $64,911- $68,000 Annually
FLSA Status : Exempt
Reports To: Administration Officer
Teams: Business Services Team & Management Team.
Location: Renton Office & Hybrid work and must travel to BrightSpark’s 5 locations.
AGENCY SUMMARY:
BrightSpark Early Leaning Services has been at the forefront of the early learning landscape for over 30 years ensuring that all children have equitable access to safe, engaging and positive early learning experiences that promote school readiness and lifetime success. With a staff of 135 and a budget of $18 million (95% publicly funded), BrightSpark provides a broad array of services for families and child care providers so that they in turn can support the development and well-being of our children.
OPPORTUNITY:
The Operations Manager role works with the Business Services Team to provide operational, accounting & technology support to all BrightSpark staff. This role is responsible for the maintenance and operation of the overall facilities of five offices and in assisting the Information Technology Team & the Accounting Team.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
Specific responsibilities of the Operations Manager include, but may not be limited to:
Operations
Oversee door technology, track, and maintain electronic key fobs and work with building managers for staff access.
Co-Lead Safety Team to ensure Safety Plan and disaster tracking compliance.
Work with agency members to write and implement policies and procedures.
Administer office space needs, work with vendors on furniture, space design and with staff on managing storage needs onsite/offsite for five offices.
Keep inventory management system records up to date in Asset Panda inventory system.
Coordinate with building manager on lease renewals, facility issues and tenant improvements at all five sites
Coordinate insurance coverage for agency and compliance with the AO and Data Reporting & Compliance Administrator.
Information Technology
Serve as a member of the IT team and provide backup support to the IT Administrator
Oversee agency Verizon account consisting of cell phones & Mi-Fi’s.
Administer Zoom VoIP Phone System: Programming, user management, maintain closure schedules, hardware, training, troubleshoot, contract review, etc.
Other duties as assigned.
Accounting
Process various monthly reports for AO and integrating reports into Tableau.
Assist accounting team with audit preparation.
Process AP for Operations related expenses.
Assist the AO with budget preparation.
Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Minimum Qualifications:
Education - Associations Degree in Business Administration or closely related field.
At least 3 years demonstrated operations experience.
Proficient in the use of relevant software and technology tools, including Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint

Proven work experience in Operations demonstrating effective leadership and problem-solving skills.
Ability to interact with groups and individuals at all work and skill levels.

Project Management skills
Tableau software knowledge preferred.
Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
Effective listening skills with the ability to give and receive feedback.
Operate and troubleshoot technology such as: laptops, printers, copiers, cell phones, etc
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Must be able to pass a background and credit check.
Ability to lift 25 lbs.
Washington State Driver’s License, automobile insurance, and regular access to a reliable automobile are required.

COMPENSATION:
FLSA Status: Exempt
This is a full-time salaried position requiring work during BrightSpark Early Learning Services business hours, Monday – Friday from 8:30am-5:00pm and a willingness to work some evenings and weekends.

WORK LOCATION:
This position is a Hybrid Home Office/In Person position – based at Renton WA site and will require travel to each of our 5 locations across King and Pierce Counties (current Locations Tacoma, Kent, Renton, Lake City & Redmond).
Employees must attend work commitments at various BrightSpark office locations or off-site locations in King/Pierce counties.
