Help Desk Support Specialist *On Site Saint Charles ,IL

In this role, the Help Desk Support Specialist responds to end-user requests for technical assistance by phone, email, or ticketing system.

Responsible for Troubleshoots and resolves computer, application, system, device, access, or performance issues.

This role relies on established processes and procedures to document, track, and resolve reported problems and to meet operational service levels and standards.

Utilizes product information or solution database to research, troubleshoot, and deliver solutions.

Responsible for advising users on the methods, steps, and actions required to resolve and avoid future issues and provides documentation as needed.

Escalate problems to appropriate levels or teams to achieve issue resolution.

Provide support installs or upgrades of software or devices.

Set up user profiles, VPN Access following protocol

re-set passwords and similar

Fulfill all service level standards for response time and quality.

Respond to high number of user tickets

Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Associate Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience such as Help Desk or other Computer experience Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Possesses strong time-management skills

Results-oriented, self-motivated, energetic, professional, reliable, and a team player

Strong understanding of technology and business productivity systems

Ability to problem solve at a high level, extraordinary customer service skills, strong multi-tasking, and organizational skills

Helpful to have experience with the following technology:

Excel, Word, Outlook, Exchange, Active Directory, Windows Server, Sage, Remote Desktop

Helpful to have understanding of:

Basic networking, TCP/IP, routing and switching

Desktop and server hardware, ie. homelab or built personal computer.

Basic scripting such as powershell or bash, with an emphasis on automation

Work Schedule: Monday- Friday 8:30 AM-5:00 PM
