Website Marketing Manager

Cambridge, MA, United States

Wistia is looking for an experienced Website Marketing Manager to help deliver the best in-class experience on wistia.com. Our marketing website is the top driver of impact on our business and one of the most important expressions of our brand. As the Website Marketing Manager of wistia.com, you will partner with Marketing and Product team leaders to develop a long-term strategy and holistic vision for our entire marketing website. Reporting directly to the Director of Creative and Content, you will drive prioritization for our initiatives and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Design, and Engineering. Additionally, you will play a pivotal role in aligning the website with our broader go-to-market efforts, encompassing brand, customer acquisition, and product adoption/expansion goals. By understanding the diverse needs of our business, you will craft a roadmap that effectively supports our overarching business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with Marketing, Product, Engineering and external agencies to understand the business opportunities for wistia.com. Own the strategy, roadmap, and execution that balances all of those perspectives.

Improve customer journey conversions, optimize the user experience, increase organic acquisition of new customers, and implement SEO best practices.

Leverage our research partners to deeply understand our customers, how our brand resonates with them and what problems our product solves for them. Apply this understanding when collaborating with the Marketing and Product teams on website projects.

Build and maintain a roadmap of projects, deliverables, and initiatives for our website, ensuring projects are prioritized to achieve KPIs. This includes aligning key stakeholders and contributors across multiple teams.

Create detailed project plans, outlining requirements, task owners, milestones, dependencies & key risks for website related projects. This can include new user experiences, A/B testing plans, existing content updates, etc.

Establish website KPIs and collaborate with business intelligence on reporting dashboards using analytics platforms to track website performance and gain insight into user behavior, customer patterns, and opportunities across the website.

Work with internal stakeholders to ensure proper setup and maintenance of analytics tools (Google Analytics, Mode, Snowplow, FullStory, Sentry.io, etc.) and deploy & monitor new tracking events as needed.

Partner with internal and external experts to ensure the site is continuously optimized for search, and to help Wistia stay on top of industry changes that stand to impact website performance.

As Website Marketing Manager at Wistia, your success will be measured by:

Focusing on the customer — You aim to understand the needs of our target customer and act as their voice internally. Doing so helps you identify opportunities to attract new customers, brand advocates, and employees.

Aligning teams to develop and execute a shared vision — You think of our business from a bird’s eye view. You’re obsessed with leveraging collaboration to solve the biggest problems and help people understand the “why” behind them. You’re an expert at communication, prioritization, creating KPIs, and leading delivery.

Thinking in multiple scopes and timelines — You can simultaneously manage long term, holistic projects as well short term iterations and experiments.

Communicating technical requirements across the organization — You understand technical requirements, make educated trade-offs with the team, and translate those choices for those less technical internally.

You are nimble - Wistia’s approach to marketing is deeply rooted in experimentation, creativity, and above all else providing delightful experiences for our customers. You’re passionate about exceptional content as well as finding creative solutions that deliver value in an engaging way.

Learning from feedback — You are approachable and gather (both internal and external) qualitative and quantitative feedback to hone a better development process and support our customers.

Developing meaningful relationships — You work well with others to understand needs and explain your team’s choices. You gain the trust of everyone around you by speaking the same language and working cross functionally. The leaders in Growth + Acquisition, Design, and Creative feel just as much as your teammates as your stakeholders.

Moving fast and feeling positive — You enjoy working on new opportunities that can sometimes be ambiguous. We’ve got a lot of learning to do, so our teams need to be nimble and have a great time doing it. We don’t play the blame game.

Working at Wistia

We try to ensure Wistia is an inclusive and diverse place where everyone feels happy, fulfilled, respected, comfortable, and welcome. We're proud to be an equal opportunity workplace. We care a lot, so our benefits are actually benefits, not just the fun stuff like swag and snacks in the office (though we also have lots of those too!).

We know the biggest investment we can make is in our employees, so we provide:

A competitive compensation package that includes internal equity stock options

401k with 3% company contribution, regardless of whether you contribute (Roth 401k available)

Fully paid healthcare, dental, and vision insurance (family plans included)

Pre-Tax FSA and Dependent Care Account

Flexible working hours – work at the times when you operate best, or set aside time for child and/or elderly care responsibilities during traditional “office hours”

16 weeks paid parental leave for all new and expecting parents

Unlimited PTO (pretty common for people to take 4+ weeks off throughout the year)

Remote-first culture (work from anywhere in the U.S.)

Annual professional development stipend (courses, conferences, and more)

New hire bonus to enhance your home office set up

Pet insurance discount

Location/Remote Opportunities

Wistia is a remote-first company. Employees can work from our beautiful office in Cambridge, MA, or anywhere in the continental US.
