Merchandising Manager, High Jewelry

Job Summary
The High Jewelry Merchandising Manager will assist in achieving planned store inventory levels and the maintenance of global merchandise assortments to maximize profitability. The manager plays a fundamental role in assisting the salons with securing their sales as well as supporting the Marketing department on key projects all year round.
Key Duties Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Stock management
Ensure each salon always has the best possible assortment to represent the Harry Winston brand and maximize sales opportunities
Create and manage stock rotation plans
Monitor stock levels and make appropriate callouts to team regarding allocation, stock rebalance, re-ordering etc. to maintain sufficient stock to secure sales
Salon openings
Partner with Demand Planner to create assortment proposal for Senior Management to review for implementation
Review salons assortment closely to ensure stock representation is consistently kept at the highest level
Engage in frequent conversations with the salons Directors globally to truly understand and meet their needs
Sales analysis
Including but not limited to, collection performance by region and globally, top sellers, salon ranking, product type, price segment, replenishment priority etc.
Thoroughly understanding the business needs and proactively recommending action plans aimed at increasing sales and brand visibility
Analyze stock and sales data on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly basis and clearly present findings and recommendations to Senior Management
Accurately maintain existing reports while continuously looking at improving and creating new ones that can improve productivity
New launches
Work closely with Category Management and Vice President to execute launch plan for new product and collections based on strategy and rotation plan
Closely monitor performance and make recommendations to maximize profitability
Supply life cycle review
Analyze product lines/collections performance and make recommendations to Vice President and Category Management to phase out unproductive inventory
Marketing
Collaborate with the Marketing team to support celebrity dressing opportunities, editorials, photoshoots, catalogues, and campaigns initiatives by recommending optimal product selection
Events planning
Develop and maintain strong and trustworthy relationships with internal cross functional teams and salon teams worldwide
Collaborate with other managers to brainstorm strategies to maximize profits
Train, manage and develop a team of two direct reports fostering a collaborative and engaging work environment
Ad-hoc analysis and projects
Job Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
Minimum 3 – 5 years merchandising experience
Jewelry experience
Experience managing, developing, and coaching a team
Strong business acumen
Proactive and takes the initiative to drive business and think outside the box
Ability to negotiate with and influence peers and members of cross functional teams
Ability to build and maintain trustworthy business relationships
Strong sense of organization, priority, and efficiency
Demonstrates excellent problem-solving skills
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, ability to manage multiple projects independently and in a timely manner
Demonstrates strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Must have strong technical skills; specifically, with Microsoft Excel (macros, v-lookups, pivot tables, complex formulas, etc.) and in dealing with large data sets
