Job Description
Danfoss Climate Solutions is currently hiring for a Key Account Manager based in North America. The Key Account Manager will manage a defined group of OEM key accounts and be fully responsible for managing the growth and development of sales, and customer relationships. This person will be deeply involved in the development of the business plan and the coordination of activities to ensure the targets are achieved or exceeded. We are looking for a strong driver with an entrepreneurial and team-building mindset to work within the Danfoss Climate Solutions organization to grow sales. The position is based in the US.
Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.
Develop and execute a comprehensive account strategy that is in-line with the overall NAM Climate Solutions strategy and aligned with the Air Conditioning and Commercial Refrigeration OEM accounts Perspective.
Gain in-depth knowledge of OEM key accounts -- the business strategy, products and range life cycle, organization, projects, decision making processes, and key stakeholders to identify areas Danfoss can bring greatest value.
Creation of Danfoss value propositions and be able to differentiate the value of our solution based on the needs of the individual decision-maker.
Secure and maintain a quality opportunity pipeline in SalesForce CRM.
Support global platform projects as needed.
Coordinate all activities (pricing/projects/support/quality/supply chain/ AP/etc.) with customers' key decision- makers within NAM.
Work to strengthen the Danfoss-Customer relationships (Strategic level globally / Tactical level in North America) by stakeholder and decision-maker mapping.
Provide market information & market intelligence, including but not limited to: Market share details, Business/product development opportunities, Competitors, and Industry trends.
Coordinate with regional Applications Engineers (AE's), Business Development Managers and various Line of Business (LOB) members.
Communicate territory and customer insight & activities inside Danfoss via SalesForce CRM
Background & Skills
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience
Minimum 5 years' experience in sales and/or marketing is required
Must possess a technical aptitude, but need not be an engineer
Experience in selling products used in vapor compression or boiler applications is preferred
Key Account Planning skills in international B2B technical sales
Proficient in the use of Office Suite products
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
Willing to travel regionally and internationally as the position requires; estimated to be 50%, mainly within the USA and occasionally internationally
