Account Manager, Chicago

As one of our Account Managers, you will be part of a customer-focused team dedicated to maximizing sales through the development of new business and working closely with our existing customers utilizing a solutions-based sales approach. Product categories that enable our customers to succeed include spectrum/signal analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes, power meters, and communication test systems. We are currently looking for an Account Manager to be based in the Chicago Metro area providing sales support to both existing and new customers.
Your Tasks:
Understand customer needs and positioning Rohde & Schwarz to meet those needs
Create new business opportunities and expand existing customer relationships
Grow the territory and exceed quota
Build and manage a strong sales funnel for multiple customers
Manage cross-site opportunities and projects while working closely with all internal stakeholders
Provide input and feedback to product marketing, service and development groups on customer product and application requirements
Your Qualifications:
Physically reside in Northern Illinois / Wisconsin
BSEE (or equivalent technical education)
5+ years of test equipment sales experience or technical sales experience
A working understanding of current electronic industry technologies (particularly Wireless Communications)
Enthusiastic and responsive to customer requests and questions
Skilled at working within a team environment with strong communication and collaborating skills to achieve growth objectives
Able to travel throughout the territory with some national and international travel.
To be considered, candidates must have US citizenship or permanent work authorization.
This is a full-time position with a total compensation target salary (base + commission) range of $100k- 230k plus benefits. The range is determined by the position, geographic location and level. Individual pay within the range is determined by several factors including location, education or training, relevant work history, sales incentive structure and job-related skills.
