Responsibilities:
• Responsible for leading/individually contributing to the Test Engineering team in the support of Sales and Production with assigned customer projects to meet customer requirements.
• Development of test strategies / systems - Development of customer-specific test concepts and creation of the required test fixtures/systems.
• Design, realize/build and deploy the test strategy in the assigned test field including the development of test proposals and customer engagement in support of the sale of their test programs.
• Maintain documentation of customer provided test equipment including development of test instructions.
• Technical support for the customer - Advising the customer on the optimum design for testing to achieve the most efficient and cost-effective solution possible.
• Technical Project Management - Work together with Customer Success Team to ensure timely and successful completion of test projects considering technical feasibility. Manage and oversee multiple test projects simultaneously.
• Second Level Support Operations - Support of the test field via second level support and training, ensuring the ongoing operation of the machines for which test engineering is responsible.
• Trainings and technical innovation - Education and training of internal department colleagues, training of specialized personnel in the test field, promotion of innovation in the field of testing.
Skills / competences / experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated experience with Test Engineering protocols, methodologies, and best practices.
• Project management/team leadership experience.
• Electrical and general technical understanding, testing knowledge, problem-solving, systems thinking, creativity, quick comprehension, communication skills, technical project management.
• Ability to read, interpret and understand schematic drawings, assembly drawings, Bills of Materials, Work Instructions, & Test Procedures.
• Ability to interpret component manufacturer’s data sheets regarding package design, part and lot numbers, correct orientation, or other technical data as required.
• Familiarity with IPC-610 accept/reject criteria regarding printed circuit board assemblies.
• Ability to work well as a team member in production facility.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 quality standards and audits.
• Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal. Spanish is a plus.
