Description
The team at RC&E is adding an Engineering Manager to the team! Under the direction of the VP of Engineering, this individual will:
Leadership & Management of Engineering Staff
Lead and direct the engineering team in all aspects of work
Oversee the need for talent and training
Coach, develop & promote existing team members
Recruit, hire, train and develop new talent.
Work with staff engineering team to maintain professional licensing requirements.
Provide for and promote applicable technical training for RC&E personnel.
Provide metrics, recommendations and other information as requested by Senior Management.
Engineering Workflow Project management
Manage work assignments and planning for Engineering group.
Lead the planning and timely completion of projects.
Supervise and work with multiple teams to design a fully functional system while honoring client needs.
Manage the engineering and drafting processes to provide the construction management team with complete and concise drawings to facilitate seamless installation of a fully functional system.
Direct the review and release of plans, submittals, specifications, drawings and other applicable documentation.
Manage the engineering support of field crews to ensure proper installation and commissioning.
Provide pre-engineering support to sales
Engineering Quality Control Ensure document version controls and release protocols are implemented and followed.
Manage redline/as-built processes and procedures.
Develop, implement and maintain RC&E and industry best practices.
Develop, implement and maintain design system quality controls to ensure regulatory and customer compliance.
Continuous improvement of drawing quality & standards
Engineering Design & Processes Direct the efficient scaling of project design from ideation to installation.
Stay abreast of emerging trends and technical industry requirements as they pertain to RC&E core competencies.
Maintain a repository of all applicable codes and standards in a readily acceptable location to engineering designers.
Create and maintain a library of standard design procedures & methods
As required, manage the budgeting and proposal processes.
Lead the research and development process as it pertains to engineering of custom solutions for the RC&E client.
Direct the maintenance of required engineering documentation required for each state mandated period.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Strong leadership & organizational skills a must
Bachelor's degree in engineering
Licensed Professional Engineer preferred
Minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.
Minimum of 10 years engineering experience
Experience in industrial refrigeration preferred
Strong computer skills in MS Office, Excel, MS Project and AutoCAD.
