Summary: We are seeking a skilled Systems Operations Engineer to join our team on a contingent resource assignment. The ideal candidate will participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Systems Operations Engineering, contributing to large-scale planning and resolving operational challenges. This role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with client personnel and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Consult on or participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Systems Operations Engineering.
Contribute to large-scale planning related to Systems Operations Engineering deliverables.
Review and analyze moderately complex Systems Operations Engineering challenges, requiring in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
Contribute to the resolution of moderately complex issues, consulting with others to meet Systems Operations Engineering deliverables.
Leverage a solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
Collaborate with client personnel in Systems Operations Engineering to ensure successful project outcomes.
Lead or triage major incidents management.
Perform problem management to identify root cause and implement preventative actions.
Monitor application health and reduce alerts and failures.
Monitor batch and feed management processes.
Investigate and troubleshoot failures.
Support disaster recovery exercises.
Drive solutions to reduce recovery times.
Resolve troublesome trends as they develop.
Direct the daily risk and control flow of operations, focusing on policies, procedures, and work standards to ensure success.
Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.
Required Qualifications: 4+ years of experience in Systems Engineering or Technology Architecture, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education.
3+ years of experience in at least 2 databases: Ab Initio, Teradata, Hadoop, or Oracle.
3+ years of experience in Autosys.
3+ years of experience in Unix shell scripting.
Desired Qualifications: Experience with Informatica.
Preferred Qualifications: Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Experience working in a collaborative team environment.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
