What you'll be doing...

As the Associate Director- Business Development for the Authorized Retail team, a part of the VCG Value organization, you are directly responsible for delivering incremental strategic growth, driving results through the development and execution of business opportunities that maximize attainment of Authorized Retailer channel KPI's and business metrics. In addition to business growth through new opportunities, you will drive incremental value for all "Go to Channel" (GTC) programs by continuously improving our offerings and solutions to drive higher revenue growth. Your role will require a high degree of collaboration across the internal teams of Chief Marketing Officer, Financial Planning & Analytics, Product Marketing, Operations and GTS, as well as external teams including CEO level engagement with 3rd party technology and service providers, Master Agents and vendors, with key responsibilities to include:

Own the development and expansion of business opportunities through new business, new business development or strategic partnerships that will deliver significant incremental business.

TSP's distribution where we do not sell today and can expand our brands.

Expand tbV distribution to the Authorized Retail channel. Significant effort that will deliver incremental distribution and volume growth.

New Master Agents.

Potential opportunity to sell Simple Mobile and/or tbV in other established locations.

Lead the design, development, implementation and ongoing evaluation of externally focused products and services that deliver incremental, strategic growth.

Set the strategy and deliver business plans to drive business development performance.

Drive accountability with all contracted 3rd parties, building and implementing comprehensive strategies to drive growth through the development and execution of incremental business opportunities.

Analyze current market needs, competitive and financial data to develop strategies to optimize channel performance while delivering incremental business value and create the organization's strategy.

Provide strategic guidance and leadership to key stakeholders and counterparts on other teams to deliver the channel's performance scorecard, collaboratively driving results.

Uncover competitive or internal risks, finding ways to reduce their impact.

What we're looking for...

You are an effective and inspiring leader, able to engage and motivate people that don't work directly for you to deliver outstanding performance. You enjoy working in a dynamic environment and you successfully balance competing demands and priorities. You have the business acumen and executive presence to establish credibility with leadership and you effectively balance the needs of all involved.

You'll need to have:

Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.

Six or more years or relevant work experience.

Experience in account management, indirect sales, and/or channel management.

Willingness to travel approximately up to 25%.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

Experience leading direct reports.

Experience with third-party sellers or retailers.

Account management experience.

Led complex projects with cross-functional teams and aligned groups to a common goal.

An MBA, or an M.S. in related fields.

Two or more years of Indirect channel experience.

Exceptional Powerpoint/Google Slide creation skills for executive presentations.

Understanding of organizational objectives, functions, and motivations.

Understanding of key financial concepts relevant to Verizon business performance.

Demonstrated ability to work with, understand, and manage analytics data and reporting tools.

Project management experience.

Experience driving sales, productivity, performance and results.

Strong relationship management skills.

Ability to solve complex problems creatively.

Ability to prioritize and execute effectively.

Strong interpersonal, communication, collaboration and executive presentation skills

Experience managing competing priorities with tight deadlines in a dynamic work environment.

Financial acumen and experience in interpreting/analyzing sales results.

Experience with strategic initiatives with data driven outcomes.

Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment with changing and evolving roles and responsibilities.

A passion for delivering exceptional experiences to partners and consumers.

If you are hired into a California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Maryland, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, Washington or Washington, D.C. work location, the compensation range for this position is between $112,000.00 and $228,000.00 based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
