Business Development Executive

The following outlines the description of Business Development Executive at our company. At times, you may be assigned additional responsibilities or excused from others. This will be at the discretion of our leadership and documented appropriately.

The Business Development Executive is responsible for identifying prospective clients and brands, nurturing leads using the company's CRM, setting meetings, facilitating discovery calls, closing deals, and onboarding new clients. As such, you will take the lead on prospect outreach, scheduling meetings and collaborating with other departments to develop proposals. You are familiar with all aspects of our services and can articulate our unique value proposition. Written proposals will be developed and presented to the prospect to secure new business. Once an agreement is signed, you will successfully onboard the new client to the account management team.

We have high standards in all things; you are tasked with upholding these standards while effectively delivering new client growth. Your primary accountabilities include:

Nurturing prospects

Landing introductory meetings

Closing new business

Sales conversion and tracking

RFP & proposal creation

In this role, strong organizational skills are needed to track outreach and the sales pipeline. Strong sales skills, the ability to open new doors, and close deals are also requirements. You have a perspective of constant improvement with the sales process and make ongoing advancements.

This position requires proven experience in sales, strategic planning and proposal writing. You must have an exceptional work ethic and the willingness to go above and beyond.

Skill Requirements: Clear and consistent communication internally and externally

Knowledge of the sales process and agency services

Ability to estimate projects and track sales figures

Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations

Strong critical thinking skills

Successful tactics to win discovery appointments

Ability to prospect, nurture and close a deal

Hiring Requirements: Proven track record of success in business development and sales, preferably in the marketing or advertising industry.

2+ years in a sales or business development role.

Strategic planning experience is preferred.

Familiarity with CRM software and sales pipeline management.

Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (preferred).
