Job Description Job Description SUMMARY OF POSITION AND RESPONSIBILITY:
The responsibility of the Account Manager is to learn and familiarize oneself with the sales aspects of all Allied Stone products, maintain and expand territories, establish strong customer relationships, and manage account representatives.
Essential Functions:
Understand account processes, builder construction stages, and warranty boundaries to help account reps resolve conflicts.
Follow a routine schedule and build partnerships with purchasing managers and design center managers
Manage and maintain accuracy of company samples displayed in design centers and models.
Friendly and open communication with purchasing managers during regular visits to help them achieve overall satisfaction
Responsible for advance preparation before daily visits and weekly recaps completed on a timely basis.
Communicate with Account Services managers to prevent recurring process related field issues
Entertains customers in the normal course of business, to aid in negotiations and/or to show appreciation of business, by hosting a lunch/dinner/events when appropriate.
Maintains market awareness in competitor activities

QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS AND/OR TRAINING):
Preferred Education:
BS/BA degree or equivalent preferred
Preferred Experience:
Prior customer service experience preferred
Construction industry experience preferred
Previous experience as an Area Manager or Construction Manager with a homebuilder is a plus
ESSENTIAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, ABILITY AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge in MS Office
Excellent multitasking ability
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Detail oriented.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
Work Environment:
This position will be performed in an office environment
Physical Demands:
There are little to no expected physical demands of this position
Travel Required:
There is some travel expected for this position, including visits to account offices in the DFW area
