The Role

The Senior Inside Channel Manager manages an assigned base of indirect sales partners along with the Sr Channel Manager to generate revenue by executing channel programs. The Sr Inside Channel Manager is responsible for selling new and existing company products and services, targeting business to business clients.

The Main Responsibilities

Sell across the entire Lumen portfolio, from Small Business to Regional & Large Enterprise

Develop and implement opportunities to cross-sell and up-sell accounts to increase overall total partner & end customer business with the company

Create partner/account plans and strategies to win new business from existing customers

Systematic focus on new partners and new logo customer sales

Coordinate with Channel Manager on partner sales opportunities, prepare partner/customer presentations, and coordinate all Lumen internal groups (sales engineering, OM, product, etc.) during the sales process

Develop sales in designated partner/account base by working with partners to identify new sales opportunities

Provide accurate and detailed weekly, monthly, and quarterly forecast funnel of identified and proposed opportunities to meet or exceed quota requirements

What We Look For in a Candidate

4-5 years Sales experience (preferably in an inside sales environment in the business-to-business market).

Strong track record of leadership, peer-mentoring, and participation in organization initiatives.

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.

Strong customer service focus.

Excellent communications (oral and written), organizational, negotiation, persuasion, planning and time management skills.

Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications:

Selling and supporting an indirect channel or partner-based sales program

Experience with quoting systems: IFO, Scenario Manager, Light Speed, etc.

Proficient at generating NSPs, CARs, Service Inquiries, Vendor Bis, SaleLink

Compensation

The starting salary for this role differs based on the employee's primary work location. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual's qualifications.

Location Based Pay Ranges

$55220 - $73620 in these states: AR, ID, KY, LA, ME, MS, NE, SC, and SD.

$58120 - $77490 in these states: AZ, AL, FL, GA, IN, IA, KS, MO, MT, NM, ND, OH, OK, PA, TN, UT, VT, WV, WI, and WY.

$61030 - $81370 in these states: CO, HI, MI, MN, NV, NH, NC, OR, and RI.

$63930 - $85240 in these states: AK, CA, CT, DE, DC, IL, MD, MA, NJ, NY, TX, VA, and WA.

As with the pay range variety that's based on the region of a country, specific offers are determined by various factors such as experience, education, skills, certifications and other business needs.

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

This position is eligible for either short-term incentives or sales compensation. Director and VP positions also are eligible for long-term incentive.
