ROLE SPECIFICATION
Role Objective:
We are seeking a proactive and talented Account Manager to join our dynamic sales team. Your role will be vital in driving the growth of our organisation, leveraging our extensive range of products and services. Your primary responsibility will be identifying, cultivating, and managing new business opportunities, alongside managing and growing the accounts you’ve won.
Role Responsibilities:
New Business Development: You will be required to identify and pursue new sales opportunities by leveraging a multitude of avenues. This includes but is not limited to cold calling, networking, attending industry events and utilising social media platforms. Your goal is to identify prospective customers, understand their needs, and articulate how our products and services can address their challenges, leading to long-term partnerships.
Account Management: As an account manager, you will need to nurture relationships with the clients you’ve won, ensure client satisfaction, and handle their unique needs. This includes anticipating future needs, suggesting solutions, and building a relationship of trust. Moreover, you will be responsible for cross-selling and up-selling our extensive range of products and services, thereby driving the organic growth of your accounts.
Sales Planning & Strategy: You will be responsible for designing and implementing strategic plans to help us achieve our sales goals. This includes understanding current market trends, the competitive landscape, and potential opportunities. You will also create sales forecasts and plan the necessary steps to achieve these goals. Your strategies should focus on both new customer acquisition and customer retention.
Product Knowledge: Your role requires you to become a product expert in our line of products and services. With an in-depth understanding of the features, benefits, and potential applications of our products and services, you will be able to provide accurate and compelling information to existing and potential clients, as well as solve any issues or concerns they may have.
Negotiation : Utilising your strong negotiation skills, you will work on contract discussions, pricing agreements, and terms of sale to meet both client needs and company objectives. Your role will be pivotal in closing deals, ensuring client satisfaction, and maximizing our profitability.
Sales Reporting: You will keep track of and report on sales activities, which will be crucial for monitoring our sales performance and making data-driven decisions. This includes maintaining accurate records of sales, revenue, invoices, and client feedback in our CRM. You will also use this data to forecast future sales, identify growth opportunities, and develop sales strategies.
Each of these responsibilities are integral to the role of a Account Manager and will require a dynamic individual capable of juggling multiple tasks. Your ability to effectively fulfil these responsibilities will directly influence our company's market presence and profitability.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
A minimum of 3 years' experience in sales, business development, or a relevant role.
Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to negotiate and resolve matters effectively.
Strong analytical skills with a goal-oriented attitude.
Excellent selling, communication, and negotiation skills.
Prior experience in our industry.
Proven track record of exceeding sales targets.
Ability to deliver engaging presentations.
