About our Program:

Program Evaluation

Position Summary

Works within the vision, mission and philosophy of the agency. Is responsible for conducting studies and evaluation of federal grant- funded programs. Collaborates with the Project Director- Federal Grants, Director of Outcomes and Evaluation, and Clinical Director(s) to ensure compliance to project-specific outcomes and federal guidelines (e.g., reporting, Institutional Review Board). Supports new business with program installation and initial implementation. Participates in agency special projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Federal Grants Program Evaluation

Collaborates with the Project Director- Federal Grants to ensure successful implementation of federal grants-funded programs.

Ensures the business activities, processes, and operations of the agency are designed to support program evaluation as required for federal grant funding opportunities.

Responsible for data collection and managing data collection activities and personnel as necessary to support federal grant-specific projects.

Leads grant research and evaluation studies, including conducting needs assessments and quantitative, qualitative, and/or evaluation studies. Conducts data analysis for all study outcomes. Writes reports and presents findings to a variety of stakeholder audiences per grant requirements.

Disseminates program results to various audiences to promote the program/agency (e.g., conferences, journal articles, white papers, blogs, media, etc.).

Coordinates with respective departments to research, identify, interpret, and monitor current and future news, issues, performance movements, patterns, and trends impacting the quality of service delivery and treatment.

Collaborates with Director of Outcomes and Evaluation for data collection and reporting needs.

Collaborates with Institutional Review Boards to obtain approval for grant activities.

Participates in multidisciplinary leadership meetings to oversee quality of care and solicits feedback from consumers and subject matter experts to improve program implementation.

New Business Development Supports identification and implementation of new business endeavors to enhance sustainability and innovation of federally-funded programs.

Contributes to grant writing in response to other federal grant notices of opportunities to support sustainability and expansion of programs.

Special Projects

Participates in projects that support enhancement and innovation of programs that have implications for federally-funded programs.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience / Requirements Masters degree is required.

Ph.D. in education, special education, clinical or health psychology, child development, developmental psychology, or related field and at least three or more years' related experience preferred

Requires experience and expertise in: Research and evaluation design,

Evidence-based prevention and intervention programs

Three (3) years experience in the mental/behavioral health care industry,

Two (2) years experience with federal grants

Excellent knowledge of database management, quantitative and qualitative data analysis, interpretation, and reporting required

Outstanding writing, speaking, project management skills, and the ability to work collaboratively are required.

Prefer experience and background in issues related to equity and cultural diversity.

Licensing/Certificates California license (or eligible) as Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or licensed Psychologist preferred.

Other Specific Requirements Must pass Department of Justice (DOJ), Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI), and Child Abuse Index Check (CAIC) background clearance.

Valid California Driver's license with two years experience driving and clean driving record may be required.

Excellent knowledge, experience, and command with research methods, tools and resources, and statistical theories, processes, analyses, and programming systems required.

Experience with implementing standards to business processes required.

Strong skill and proficiency with database development and management required.

Prior experience in presenting workshops, seminars, training sessions, in the subject- related

matter of mental health (i.e. outcomes and evaluations) required.

Preferred Qualifications Previous instructional teaching at an accredited (i.e. American Psychological Association (APA), Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) School of Psychology in the subjects of Mental Health preferred.

Highly Desirable Requirements Post-doctorate course work and/or training in Psychology, Mental Health, Quantitative

Analysis, or related field preferred.

Prior employment as a Professor of Psychology at an accredited School of Psychology

specializing in the field of Mental Health preferred.

Working knowledge and application of Management by Objectives (MBO) concepts

preferred.

Speak, read, and/or write another language preferred.
