Job Brief:

Position Summary: Reporting to the Senior Director of Major Gifts, the Senior Donor Manager will be a key member of the Global Relationships and Resources team. The focus of this position is to develop and manage a portfolio of major-level-giving donors by initiating, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding relationships with individuals, couples, and families who partner financially with Lutheran World Relief and other Corus International brands.

This role serves the Texas and the surrounding region.

The success of this role is measured by the following KPIs :

Fundraising revenue goals (individual and team)

Donor Prospects Qualified

Full Participation of team members

Number of gifts solicited / closed

Responsibilities:

Qualifies, develops and manages a portfolio of 150 regional major donor prospects ($10K and higher).

Develops and executes thoughtful, innovative, and individualized strategies for qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of donors and involve program colleagues and organizational leaders as appropriate.

Works closely with the Senior Director to create and measure regional revenue objectives and key results for portfolio assignments.

Assists the Senior Director with regional volunteer(s), events, and regional strategies.

Undertakes special projects and assignments to advance the mission of Corus International.

Supervisory:

No direct reports

Education & Experience:

A bachelor's degree is required with 8 years of overall work experience.

Minimum 5 years successful fundraising experience in nonprofit organization(s).

An advanced degree or Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) certification is desirable.

Experience with "Moves Management" or related strategic relationship development.

Experience in crafting and personally soliciting major gifts from individuals

Experience in utilizing customer relationship management (CRM) software to manage donor relationships.

Proven success in major donor development

Ability to lead face-to-face meetings and the confidence to solicit funding using effective and appropriate language.

Skilled in the art of 'closing the gift' with donors.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with proven experience in creating compelling donor materials and pitches that inspire action and support.

Collaborative, team-oriented work style, with self-motivation and drive to get the job done with little supervision.

Physical and Mental Requirements

The physical requirements that may be needed to execute responsibilities may include bending, standing, driving and sitting for long periods of time.

The mental requirements that are essential to satisfactorily executing the responsibilities outlined in this job description include: learning new tasks, comprehending, and retaining information, completing tasks independently, effectively communicating verbally and in writing, demonstrating proficiency in using computer software to perform assigned tasks.

Corus is seeking a Senior Donor Manager, Major Gift Officer to be a part of our Global Relationships and Resources Division. This position will report directly to the Senior Director of Major Gifts.

Working Conditions, Travel and Environment

Preferred locations for this position are Houston, Dallas, and San Antonio

This position as required for standard domestic business purposes will travel up to 40%.
