POSITIONS SUPERVISED : Directly: Claims Examiners, Claims Assistants; may supervise File/Mail Clerks and Administrative Assistants
POSITION SUMMARY: This position requires considerable interaction with the client, management, other Claims Examiners, and other TRISTAR staff in the office; therefore, consistently being at work in the office, in a timely manner, is inherently required of this position.
Accomplishes department objectives by supervising staff and organizing and monitoring work processes.
Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees and developing personal growth opportunities for advancement.
Accomplishes staff job results by coaching, counseling employees.
Assist in monitoring for Continued Education Claims for licenses compliance.
Implements and enforces systems, policies, and procedures.
Maintains safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing organization standards and adhering to legal regulations.
Completes operations by developing schedules, assigning and monitoring work, and gathering resources, implementing productivity standards, resolving operations problems, maintaining reference manuals, and implementing new procedures. Provides quality service by enforcing quality and customer service standards.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Review and assist in coverage issues and reviewing and approval of RORs and coverage denials.
Strong Coverage Analysis Required - General Liability and Construction Defect as Complex Commercial Auto
Refined CGL/CD, Bodily Injury and Significant Damage Assessment Skills Required
Given all the adjusters and clerical assistant being in different time zones the supervisor will need to be accessible by phone for the different time zones.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in related field (preferred); three (3) to five (5) years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Technical knowledge of statutory regulations.
Ability to work on a diary system, prioritize tasks and meet strict deadlines.
Strong analytical skills.
Proficient in Word and Excel.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to convey technical details to claimants, clients, and staff.
Ability to manage employees of various skill levels.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Other Qualifications:
Certifications and/or licenses as required by State regulation.
