Head of Global Origination

Position Summary:
The Head of Global Origination is a senior leadership role responsible for maximizing responses from CEOs of already identified M&A targets, and for introducing these target companies to our clients and playing a key role in improving our processes, inter-departmental operations, and implementing best practices. This role involves leading a team of origination professionals, fostering relationships with key stakeholders, and driving the strategic direction of the origination function to support the firm's growth objectives. The ideal candidate is an experienced team manager with previous experience in deal sourcing and/or cold calling company CEOs for high-stake transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the global origination strategy to maximize deal sourcing performance.
Relationship Management: Build rapport with target companies' CEOs to collect information about companies and markets and propose introductions to our clients. and maintain strong relationships with institutional investors, private equity firms, investment banks, corporate clients, and other stakeholders.
Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing global origination team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven culture.
Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including Client Directors, Sales, and Research, to ensure seamless execution of outreach.
Reporting: Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on origination activities, KPI’s, market insights, capacity utilization and plans.
Compliance: Ensure all origination activities comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field. MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
Proven experience with 5-10 years of experience in building a high-performance deal sourcing (or CEO cold calling) team and having already run Origination/Outreach Teams targeted at company executives.
