Overview: The Vice President is a vital member of the agency's Senior Leadership Group, collaborating closely with them. They have a comprehensive understanding of the medical and emotional needs of our pediatric participants in foster care settings, along with the importance of Quality Assurance. Staying informed about mandates from oversight agencies like ACS, OCFS, COA, and the American Academy of Pediatrics is crucial. The Vice President of Health Services also provides advisory support to other agency programs regarding participant well-being.The VP ensures the highest standard of care and compliance with regulatory standards across five programs: Family & Enhanced Family Foster Care in the Morris Heights section of the Bronx

Reports To: Chief Program Officer Location: Multiple Locations NYC Hours: 35 Hours/Week; Exempt Salary: $160,000/Yr. to $175,000/Yr.
Major Duties: Supervise agency Directors of Nursing directly.
Oversee Article 29-l application and implementation, collaborating on Electronic Health Record development.
Maintain Article 29-I facilities in compliance with State requirements. Ensure compliance with city, state, and federal regulations, including OMIG standards.
Serve on the Compliance and Incident Risk Management committee, guiding health standards for participants and employees.
Update health services policies and procedures to reflect regulatory changes and Trauma Informed Care principles, educating staff on infection control policies.
Manage Medicaid budgets in coordination with Finance Department and administrators.
Collaborate with Medicaid Quality Assurance Department for continuous health and behavioral care review and documentation compliance.
Develop and deliver health-related training for staff and participants, including family life and sex education for youth in care.
Be available on call for emergencies and represent the agency at external meetings.
Implement trauma-informed practices using Sanctuary Model tools and framework.
Collaborate with Human Resources, Facilities, and other departments as needed.
Maintain connections with funders and health resources like ACS MHCU for optimal service delivery to youth and families.
Qualifications: Required license: Registered Nurse or, Licensed Clinical Social Worker license required.
License must be valid in the State of New York.
At least 3 years of supervisory/administrative experience preferred,
Experience in foster care or child welfare required.
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skins,
Interest in working with children/adolescents,
Must have a commitment to work from a strength-based and/or youth development perspective.
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Access).
Able to travel to multiple sites within the five borough of New York City.
